I would recommend this product to a friend I am impressed by the number of available features and ease of use of this product. It would have been much much cheaper to have rented a unit from one of the cable providers. The usage of this unit cost me about $80.00 a month.

ARRIS Purchases Digeo, Inc. in Cash Transaction
Next Step in ARRIS IP Video Evolution Conference Call Wednesday, September 23, 2009, 8:30 AM EDT
9/22/2009 - Suwanee, GA: ARRIS Group Inc. (Nasdaq: ARRS) announced today that it has agreed to purchase the assets of Digeo, Inc., including its intellectual property portfolio, for a cash purchase price of approximately $20 million. The Digeo acquisition, along with the recently announced acquisition of EG Technology (EGT), provides ARRIS with substantial technical expertise in video networking and an innovative multimedia services delivery platform. The engineering talent and intellectual property acquired as part of these transactions will be combined with ARRIS internal development efforts to accelerate the introduction of next-generation IP-based consumer video products and services. These new products will allow the Companys customers to cost effectively integrate and distribute new forms of personalized multimedia content throughout the home. ARRIS will continue to develop and market the current line of Digeo Digital Video Recorder (DVR) products, including Digeos Moxi Cable DVR and consumer HD DVR with its Emmy award winning user interface. Moxi customers will continue to enjoy uninterrupted service and updates. Several years ago we laid out a strategy to establish ARRIS as a leader in video networking, said Bob Stanzione, ARRIS Chairman and CEO. Our strategy includes both organic development and strategic acquisitions. The Digeo acquisition, along with our acquisition of EGT last month, has enhanced our ability to aggressively pursue end to end video delivery initiatives. As a result of the Digeo transaction ARRIS will gain approximately 75 employees located in Kirkland, Washington. The addition of the Digeo engineering team will raise the Companys research and development investment by approximately $3M per quarter. In addition to a highly talented work force and award-winning products and technology, ARRIS will acquire an extensive intellectual property portfolio in technologies including Digital Video Recording, Home Networking, E-Commerce, and Multimedia. As the global leader in broadband technology for the cable industry, ARRIS delivers the market position necessary to take the Moxi vision to the next level, said Greg Gudorf, Digeo CEO. ARRIS recognizes the value of adding Digeos highly-innovative technology to its portfolio, allowing the Company to integrate the Moxi line of products and services as core to its expansion into the digital home. Further, ARRIS
recognizes the value Digeos highly-talented people bring to the equation. I am extremely pleased that the Digeo team will continue to drive the evolution of the Moxi platform. The transaction is expected to close early in the fourth quarter of 2009. Conference Call and Webcast A conference call and webcast with a presentation and discussion of this transaction will be held at 8:30am EDT, September 23, 2009. Section 1: General

Q. What is a CableCARD?
A CableCARD is a plug-in card approximately the size of a credit card (though thicker) that fits into the back of the Moxi HD DVR. The CableCard's predominant function--and arguably its most important--is to allow users to have access to premium and High Definition cable channels. Just like current set-top boxes today, a CableCARD provide s"conditional access", meaning the CableCARDs will allow you to see the channels that you subscribe to.
Q. What will the CableCARD allow me to do with my Moxi HD DVR?
A CableCARD allows you to view and record premium digital cable TV channels which you subscribe to on Moxi HD DVR. When your Moxi HD DVR is set up and you have activated your CableCARD and have a digital cable or HD package subscription, you will be able towatch, pause, rewind, and record live TV, including high definition (HD) and premium content to which you subscribe. Schedule recordings of single episodes or entire series of your favorite showsincluding programs broadcast in crystal-clear high definition.
Q. How much will a CableCARD cost?
You can rent one for approximately $2 a month from your cable provider - however check with your cable provider for the most recent pricing.

Q. Where can I get a CableCARD?
You will need to contact your current cable TV provider and request a Multi-Stream CableCARD. Your Cable provider may require you to schedule an appointment for installation of your Multi-Stream CableCARD with your Moxi HD DVR, or they may allow you to pick up a Multi-Stream CableCARD directly from their customer service center and do the installation yourself.
Q. What type of CableCARD should I get?
There are several types of CableCARDs. Moxi HD DVR works with the latest Multi-Stream CableCARD and will not work with the older Single-Stream CableCARDs.
Q. Why do I need to use a Multi-Stream CableCARD ?
Q. Can I install a CableCARD myself?
It is a very easy task to install a cableCARD how the real answer depends on your cable provider. In some cases, the cable provider can send over a card or have you pick up the card at their service offices, you plug it in to the back of Moxi HD DVR and run through the setup steps and call your cable company to activate the CableCard and pair it with the Moxi HD DVR. However, since CableCards are still in their infancy, most cable providers will send over a technician to install the card to make sure it works with your Moxi HD DVR. Some cards need to be customized and programmed by the technician

Please check out the CableCARD installation guide for detailed steps. {insert link}

Q. How do I know whether my CableCARD is working?
When the CableCARD is inserted in the Moxi HD DVR, it begins to scan? for the available digital channels available from the cable provider. There is a chance that the CableCARD is having problems connecting of finding to the cable providers channel lineup. To check whether you are connected correctly follow these steps; Go to Moxi Settings Select Moxi Setup Go to the CableCARD screen and select OK. The screens that follow have been supplied by the CableCARD manufacturer, please select CableCARD status or the Interactive info card for the details on the OOB or FDC status. Check the screens for a status message confirming the channel list as received or OOB or FDC status as active or yes.
Q. What happens during CableCARD activation?
When your CableCARD has been activated, your cable provider will sen a message to the authorize the CableCARD to decrypt all the channels that you have subscribed to. After you have successfully installed your CableCARD you should now see and view all channels that you have subscribed to
Q. What is CableCARD pairing and when do I do this?
Pairing"or "binding" means the CableCARD and the host ID of the CableCARD slot are associated with each other in the cable providers billing system. You will have to call your cable provider after you have inserted the CableCARD into the CableCard Slot and see the following screen
Q. What happens if I have not been successfully paired?
If the CableCARD is activated, but not paired, you can still view encrypted digital channels. When you tune to a copy protected channel, however, a gray-and-black screen with pairing information pops up, prompting you to call your cable provider.
Q. How do I make sure that I have access to the channels I paid for?
