What kind of headset should I use?

It is best to purchase a headset that connects to the computer via USB, however, if you are in a hybrid class (students are both online and in a lecture hall) you might need a headset that connects with a designated headset and microphone input.

Operation

The Logitech ClearChat Pro USB Headset works with any USB-compliant computer with the following operation systems: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 2000, Windows Me, and Mac OSX. Windows XP 1. Go to the START menu, choose CONTROL PANEL, choose SOUND AND AUDIO DEVICES. 2. Choose the AUDIO tab, select the headset as the SOUND PLAYBACK and SOUND RECORDING device. 3. Choose the VOICE tab, select the headset as the VOICE PLAYBACK and VOICE RECORDING DEVICE. 4. Choose the VOLUME tab, adjust VOLUME SLIDER as necessary. The MUTE option should not be selected. Mac OSX 1. Go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES, choose SOUND. 2. Choose the OUTPUT tab, select the headset as the SOUND OUTPUT device, adjust the OUTPUT VOLUME SLIDER to desired level, verify the MUTE box is unchecked. 3. Choose the INPUT tab, select the headset as the SOUND INPUT device, adjust the INPUT VOLUME SLIDER to desired level.

Limited Warranty

Logitech Hardware Product Limited Warranty. Logitech warrants that your Logitech hardware product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for two (2) years, beginning from the date of purchase. Except where prohibited by applicable law, this warranty is nontransferable and is limited to the original purchaser. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary under local laws. Remedies. Logitechs entire liability and your exclusive remedy for any breach of warranty shall be, at Logitechs option, (1) to repair or replace the hardware, or (2) to refund the price paid, provided that the hardware is returned to the point of purchase, or such other place as Logitech may direct, with a copy of the sales receipt or dated itemized receipt. Shipping and handling charges may apply except where prohibited by applicable law. Logitech may, at its option, use new or refurbished or used parts in good working condition to repair or replace any hardware product. Any replacement hardware product will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period, or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer or for any additional period of time that may be applicable in your jurisdiction. Limits of Warranty.
