Carefully unpack your speaker system and identify all its components. JBL On Stage Micro II, power supply, remote and adapter.
Step 2. Move the battery door to the unlocked position to open the battery compartment.
Step 3. Place 4 AAA batteries in the battery compartment.
Step 4. Connect the power adapter into the jack labeled 6V DC In on the rear of the JBL On Stage Micro II and plug the power adapter into a wall outlet or power strip.

Place your iPhone/iPod on the docking connector or connect a 3.5mm (1/8") stereo audio cable to the rear of the JBL On Stage Micro II. Connect the audio cable to the audio source. Step 6. Press the Power button on the back of the JBL On Stage Micro II. A green LED will light when the JBL On Stage Micro II system is on.
Step 7. Adjust the volume using (+) to increase and () to decrease. Press both to mute the JBL On Stage Micro II. Press either button to unmute.
Syncing and transfering files with your computer
Make sure your iPhone/iPod is securely docked into the JBL On Stage Micro II. Connect a USB cable (not included) into the USB jack on the back of the unit, connect other end of the USB cable directly to your computers USB port. Make sure your iPhone/iPod and iTunes are updated to the latest software version.

Solution
Press the JBL On Stage Micro II Power button to turn the unit back on. Press either (+) or () to unmute. Make sure audio signal is supplied through docked iPhone/iPod or Audio In jack.
No power; green LED is not on
Check the connection of the wall adapter. Place the wall adapter in a known powered outlet. Test the outlet with a lamp or other device. Connect the JBL On Stage Micro II to a known audio source. Test the audio source with headphones.
There is no sound coming from the JBL On Stage Micro II.
No power to unit.
Make sure that the wall outlet or power strip has power. Make sure that all switches for outlet/power strip are on and that all switches for the unit are on. Make sure that the iPhone/iPod is properly docked or that the auxiliary cable is properly connected. Turn up the volume. Check the unit with a source that you know to be good. Connect the Aux In cable to the headphone jack of your iPhone/iPod.
Is the LED on? If the LED is not on, power is not getting to your JBL On Stage Micro II. Try the solutions shown.
Incorrect source selection.
Sound comes from only one side/channel.
iPhone/iPod or auxiliary cable is not seated properly.
Make sure that the iPhone/iPod is seated all the way into the docking station. Make sure that the auxiliary cable is seated all the way into the jack. Try resetting the iPhone/iPod.
If you are using a 3.5mm auxiliary extension cable, make sure it is a stereo cable.
Distortion (static, cracking or hissing sounds).
Audio source or source material may be the problem.
Test the JBL On Stage Micro II with another source.
Does the distortion occur with specific songs? If so, check the recording or record the source again. Some devices will distort the output signal if the volume is set to maximum. It is recommended that you set the source device EQ to Flat or Off.
Volume level may be too high.
Check the volume of the source.
EQ setting may be too high.
Check the EQ setting on your iPhone/iPod or source device. Check the input cable connection. Replace the cable. Turn the JBL On Stage Micro II off and connect it to another wall outlet. Purchase a ferrite core and wrap the excess cable around it. A ferrite core can be purchased at your local electronics store.
JBL On Stage Micro II emits a loud hum or buzzing noise.
Input cable is not plugged in properly. Cable may be bad. Ground logo (an unsuitable connection).
Speaker system experiences radio-frequency interference or picks up a radio-station transmission.
Input cable may be picking up interference.

Additional Features: 1. In the battery-only mode, the JBL On Stage Micro II loudspeaker dock will turn off to save battery power when muted or paused for longer than 10 minutes. 2. 1. arefully unpack your speaker dock and confirm that all the items C shown here are included: JBL On Stage* Micro III Speaker Dock, power supply, remote control and iPod/iPhone adapter. Notes on battery use: f you are using rechargeable batteries, make sure all of them are fully I charged before inserting them. The JBL On Stage Micro III will not charge rechargeable batteries. f you are using conventional batteries, make sure that all of them are I fresh. o not use a combination of rechargeable and conventional batteries. D Use all of one type or the other. he Status LED will illuminate amber when the batteries need to be T replaced. 4. Replace the battery door and rotate it to the locked position.

5. onnect a USB Type Mini-B cable (not included) to the JBL On Stage C Micro IIIs USB port and to a USB port on the computer on which your iTunes is located.
IMPORTANT: If you play audio through a docked iPod/iPhone and an audio source connected to the Audio In connection at the same time, you will hear both of their outputs mixed through the JBL On Stage Micro III. To hear only one source you will need to manually turn off the source you do not want to hear. 7. nsert the included AC outlet adapter all the way into the power supply I (if there is more than one adapter, use the correct one for your region). 6. If you are going to use your JBL On Stage Micro III with another audio source, plug one end of a 3.5mm stereo cable (not included) into the Audio In connector, and plug the other end into the audio sources audio out or headphone out connector.

Synchronizing with iTunes
NOTE: Before attempting to synchronize your iPod/iPhone with iTunes, be sure both your iPod/iPhone and iTunes are updated to the latest software version. Before attempting to synchronize, be sure the JBL On Stage Micro IIIs USB port is connected to the computer on which your iTunes is located. 1. lace your iPod/iPhone on the JBL On Stage Micro IIIs docking P connector. Make sure the iPod/iPhone is inserted all the way onto the connector. 2. se your computers iTunes software to synchronize the iPod/ U iPhone with iTunes. 3. hen youre finished synchronizing, eject the iPod/iPhone from W iTunes.
Operating Your JBL On Stage Micro III on Battery Power
If you have inserted batteries as explained in the JBL On Stage Micro III Easy Setup Guide Step 3, on page 3, you can unplug the JBL On Stage Micro IIIs power adapter and the unit will operate on battery power. While running on battery power, the JBL On Stage Micro III will automatically enter the Standby mode after the system detects no audio signal for 5 minutes. Upon detecting an audio signal the system will return to normal operation and the LED will light up. When running on AC power, the JBL On Stage Micro III will automatically enter the Standby mode after the system detects no audio signal for 10 minutes. As above, it will return to normal operation upon detecting an audio signal, and the LED will light up. Notes on battery power operation: he JBL On Stage Micro III will not charge rechargeable batteries. T he JBL On Stage Micro III will not charge a docked iPod/iPhone T while under battery power unless it is also connected to a computer via a USB cable.
iPod/iPhone Charging
The JBL On Stage Micro III will charge a docked iPod/iPhone under these conditions: hen the JBL On Stage Micro III is being powered by its AC power W adapter hen the JBL On Stage Micro III is connected to a computer via a W USB cable The JBL On Stage Micro III will not charge a docked iPod/iPhone while under battery power unless it is also connected to a computer via a USB cable.

Problem No sound (white LED is not illuminated):
Solution ake sure that the power supply is properly connected to the JBL On Stage Micro III M and to a working AC outlet. f youre using battery power, replace all four batteries with brand-new disposable or I freshly charged rechargeable batteries. The LED will illuminate amber if the batteries need replacing. BL On Stage Micro III is in the energy conservation mode (no sound was detected J for at least 10 minutes).

ouch the Volume Up (+) button to increase the system volume. T f youre using a docked iPod/iPhone, make sure that it is properly docked in the JBL I On Stage Micro III. f youre using an auxiliary source, make sure that the audio cable is properly I connected to the JBL On Stage Micro IIIs Audio In connector and to the source components audio output. ake sure that the iPod or source component is not in the Pause mode, and that its M volume control is not turned all the way down.
