| Nothing wrong with this at all. Had it for just over a year and nothing wrong at all. Fast for an ATA drive. Quiet. Part of an external Hard disk Package (Tevion 400GB), the hard disk failed after less than a year. Rubbish. | |

I/O performance sucks. Why? Head switch, Platter rotation. ,
Disks require Mechanical Movement to access stored data. So, Reducing the mechanical delay is important. This begins by an exact modeling of physical disk layout layout. The Key challenge is that hard-disk itself is a black-box.
