NEW DELL XPS MOBILE, ENTERTAINMENT AND GAMING PLATFORMS, WIDESCREEN FLAT-PANEL MONITOR Product Backgrounder On May 31, 2006, Dell expanded its XPS product portfolio with three systems that are designed to lead the industry in entertainment, PC gaming and mobility. Dell also enhanced its 24-inch widescreen flat-panel monitor. Details and availability of the new products are provided below. XPS M2010 Portable Entertainment PC Dells XPS M2010 mobile entertainment PC is high-tech origami in action. When closed the system appears to be black leather-like case with an anodized aluminum carrying handle. When opened, the XPS M2010 transforms into a mobile entertainment center with a 20.1-inch high-definition display and a detachable wireless keyboard. Powered by high-performance mobile technology, the M2010 features Intel Core Duo processors, optional dual hard drives, ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 graphics and a slot-load DVD +/- RW drive. 1 The XPS M2010 also includes an integrated 1.3megapixel webcam and Skype software for video chat capability, and a gyroscopicenabled remote to control the entertainment applications. The 12-cell battery enables entertainment on the go for hours. The XPS M2010 starts at $3,500.
