Technical Information
Stage/Room
The stage is 20 wide and 14deep plus a 4 round extension that could be added to the front. It is 1 tall. There is a very limited space on stage right for storage or a semi private green room. A Steinway 6 Grand Piano is available. The seating area of the room has round walls and is approximately 44 wide and 28 from downstage to the backwall. There is a small balcony area (6 wide) which holds the main FOH mix and lighting control position and has limited seating.
The standard seating arrangement is as follows: Main Floor: 104 chairs in two sections with a center aisle. An additional 34 chairs can be set along the back walls. Total Chairs: 138 Balcony Right: FOH Audio/Lighting Tech Area Very Limited Seating Balcony Left: Row of 20 chairs There is room for a second row of approx. 8 chairs, however the view is limited
The room also configures well for dinner or cocktail seating. It can comfortably fit up to 8-60 or 12-30 round tables with chairs.

1. Executive Summary 25 Word Project Description Enhance instructional space in Pullen Library Special Collections Department, adding workstation and projector in order to provide access to digital archival collections and indexes.
One-time Costs $8,340 (FY 2001)
Ongoing Costs $300 (Future FYs)
2. Project Description We will install a workstation, projector, and screen in the Colloquium Room in the Special Collections Department on the eighth floor of Library South to use when teaching the 20+ graduate and undergraduate classes that come to the archives annually. This will enable staff to provide web-based instruction, improved access to descriptions of approximately 10,000 linear feet of collections in the archives, and access to digitized collections of unique, historical records, photographs, sound recordings, and other archival holdings at archives and libraries throughout the world.
3. Relevance to Regents Guidelines This project directly enhances the instruction provided to students in more than twenty undergraduate and graduate history, English, womens studies, education, and music classes that come to the archives annually and who do research projects using the holdings of the Special Collections Department. It will enable faculty to better train students in the use of electronic resources at Georgia State and information repositories elsewhere.
4. Justification of One-time Funding Requirements Funds will be used to purchase Workstation Pentium III, with 128 mb memory, sound card, CD-ROM drive, speakers, and 21 inch monitor; Includes 3-year warranty Projector InFocus LP435z xga projector, with 1024x768 resolution, & zoom lens; includes 2-year warranty

5. Continuing Funding Requirements Annual continuing funding needed is annual maintenance contract on the @ $300.00. 6. Accountability of Funds The Library Administrative Office will monitor the use of the funds and insure that they are expended appropriately.
7. Additional Funding Required, Non-Technology Fee No additional, one-time or continuing funds will be required to complete this work.
8. Impact on Computing/Network Infrastructure This will not have an impact on the Universitys computing and networking infrastructure.
