Nerf Dart Tag World Championships Official 2010 Contest Rules
1. HOW IT WORKS: A. Qualifying Tournament Events: Qualifying Tournaments for the Nerf Dart Tag World Championships (the Contest) take place at the following 2010 Dew Tour events: Dew Tour Event / Location Team Age Group Date Skate Open / Boston, MA 13-17 Year Old 6//25/2010 Skate Open / Boston, MA 8-12 Year Old 6/26/2010 Nike 6.0 BMX Open / Chicago, IL 13-17 Year Old 7/23/2010 Nike 6.0 BMX Open / Chicago, IL 8-12 Year Old 7/24/2010 Wendys Invitational / Portland, OR 13-17 Year Old 8/13/2010 Wendys Invitational / Portland, OR 8-12 Year Old 8/14/2010 Toyota Challenge / SLC, UT 13-17 Year Old 9/17/2010 Toyota Challenge / SLC, UT 8-12 Year Old 9/18/2010 Dew Tour Championships / Las Vegas, NV 13-17 Year Old 10/16/2010 Dew Tour Championships / Las Vegas, NV 8-12 Year Old 10/16/2010 *Times are still TBD and will be posted on the NDTL website when confirmed
B. Registration: All Nerf Dart Tag League (NDTL) Tournament entrants must pre-register as a team of four (4) age-qualifying team members by filling out and properly submitting a Team Registration Form and a Release of Liability and Publicity Release form signed by each team members parent or legal guardian prior to the Qualifying Tournament for the Nerf Dart Tag World Championships. NDTL Team Registration Forms and Release of Liability and Publicity Release are available to download at www.nerf.com/ndtl beginning in April, 2010. Team Registration Forms are also available at the Dew Tour event location. The first eight (8) teams in each age group (8-12 and 13-17) to submit proper Team Registration Forms and Releases of Liability and Publicity Releases (see Team Registration From for submission details) will be eligible to compete in the Nerf Dart Tag World Championships Tournament for which the team registered. Four (4) additional teams per age group will be designated as Alternate Teams. An Alternate Team will be allowed to compete in a Qualifying Tournament only if one of the eight (8) teams in the teams age group fails to compete in the qualifying Tournament. Alternate Teams will be selected to compete in the order in which the team submitted the Team Registration Form. Hasbro reserves the right to require at any time documentation to confirm birth-date. NERF Dart Tag World Championship Qualifying Tournament Winners must provide the Tournament Sponsors Representative with proof of age (birth certificate, passport, or drivers license) and their signed forms prior to issuance of travel documents to Las Vegas. If team member / team members parent or legal guardian fails to provide documentation to verify the team members date of birth upon request, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify the team and select an alternate team to participate. C. Substitutions: In all Tournaments substitutions may be made only if and when an injured or ill player agrees to leave the game or when NDTL Tournament Officials decide, in their sole discretion, that a player should not be allowed to further participate in the game. The injured/ill players team will have twenty (20) minutes to find an eligible substitute player when the injured/ill player elects or is required to leave the game. If the injured/ill players team cannot find an eligible player within the allotted time, NDTL Tournament Officials may at their sole discretion select a suitable substitute player, or the team can opt to continue the Tournament with three (3) players. The decision of the NDTL Tournament Officials as to whether an injured or ill player should continue in the
Tournament is final. When a player is replaced the substitute player will officially take the injured/ill players spot on the teams roster and the injured or sick player will not be able to rejoin the team. The injured/ill player and their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) forfeit any claim to any prize and the substitute player will be entitled to their share of the team winnings, if any. D. Qualifying Tournament Play: All team members must report to the Nerf Dart Tag World Championships Tournament site one hour prior to the teams scheduled match start time or the team will be disqualified from the Tournament. Each team must have at least one parent or parentappointed guardian accompany the team to the Tournament site at the Qualifying Tournament. The team will not be eligible to compete in the Tournament if they do not meet this requirement on the day of the Tournament. Eight teams in each age group will participate in the Qualifying Tournament in randomly seeded brackets against other teams in their age group in a single-elimination tournament format. Team members will be supplied by Sponsors representative with appropriate gear, ammo, and a team jersey, all of which must be returned to the Sponsors representative at the completion of their game. Teams must submit themselves and their equipment for inspection in the staging area and on the field of play. Team members must use only the approved equipment, supplies and vests during match play. Matches will be played according to the NERF Dart Tag League Dew Tour Tournament Rules of Play, which are available at www.nerf.com/ndtl. Team members are responsible for being familiar with and adhering to all guidelines in the Tournament Rules. Teams earn points for tagging opposing team players and for capturing the opposing teams flag. Each match will last five (5) minutes and will be judged / scored by designated NDTL Officials. The decisions of the NDTL Official(s) will be final and binding in all respects. The highscoring team in each match will be declared the winner of the match and will advance to the next bracket until one (1) team in each age group is declared the Regional Tournament winner. Age group winners in each of five (5) Qualifying Tournaments will win a First Prize Package as described in Rule #3 below. If the winning team in any Qualifying Tournament cannot attend the Championship Tournament, the Sponsor may select an alternate team in the same age group at Sponsors sole discretion. E. Championship Tournament Play: The Championship Tournament will take place on October 16, 2010 at the Dew Tour Championships location in Las Vegas, NV. Each team member will be required to submit to Sponsor documentation to verify the contestants date of birth to the satisfaction of the Sponsor. Failure to provide such documentation may result in disqualification of the contestant and the contestants team. Each of the five (5) qualifying teams per age group will participate in a round-robin tournament. Teams receive one (1) point for each game victory. The two teams in each age group with the highest number of game victory points at the end of the tournament will play in the Final match in their age group to determine the World Championship winner in each age group. In the event of a tie in total tournament points at the end of the round-robin tournament, ties will be broken according to NDTL guidelines. The winning team in the Finals match in each age group will be deemed the 2010 NERF Dart Tag World Champions and will win the Grand Prize Package. 2. ELIGIBILITY: Contest open only to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia who (i) are between the ages of 8 and 17 on the date of the Qualifying Tournament in which they plan to participate; and (ii) properly submit a NDTL Team Registration Form and a Release of Liability and Publicity Release executed by participants parent or legal guardian. Void in Puerto Rico, other U.S. territories and possessions and where prohibited by law. Employees of Sponsor and its affiliates, and the immediate families of each of the foregoing, or persons living in the same household of such employees are not eligible. Contest is governed by U.S. laws and is subject to all federal, state and local laws. By participating in the Contest, participants and their parent or legal guardian agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the NERF Dart Tag League Dew Tour Standard Rule Book For Tournament Play, and by the decisions of the judges,

administrators and Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects, and to release Sponsor, its divisions, parent, related, affiliated and subsidiary companies, and all coordinating agencies and the officers, directors, agents and employees of each from any and all liability, claims or damages arising out of their participation in the Contest or acceptance and use of any prize. 3. PRIZES & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE: Two (2) Grand Prize Packages, one for each of the four-person age group winning teams in the World Championship Final Tournament: The winning four-person team in each of the two (2) age groups will win a $25,000 cash prize to be split evenly ($6,250 per team member) among the four team members. Approximate retail value of each Grand Prize Package is $25,000.00. Forty (40) First Prize Packages: a trip for two (2) (Qualifying Tournament age group winning team member and team members parent or legal guardian, both of whom must travel on the same itinerary) to Las Vegas, NV to participate in the NDTL World Championships on October 16, 2010. Each Qualifying Tournament-Winning Team will be required to travel on the same itinerary to Las Vegas; Sponsor will not book separate travel itineraries for individual team members or their parents/legal guardians. Each First Prize Package consists of: roundtrip coach air transportation for two (2) between major gateway airport nearest winners residence and Las Vegas, NV. If winner resides within 200 miles of Las Vegas, NV Sponsor will provide a $50 prepaid gas card in lieu of air transportation; 3 day / 2 night hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy); admission to the Dew Tour Championship event; $250 spending money; ground transportation between hotel and NDTL World Championship location. Approximate retail value of each First Prize Package is $3,250.00. Accommodations and airfare are subject to availability. Certain travel restrictions may apply. No transfer or substitution of prize elements will be permitted except by Sponsor at Sponsors discretion. First Prize trip does not include taxes, tips, gratuities, meals, service charges, souvenirs, or any other service or item not specifically described above. Prize is not redeemable for cash. Trip must be taken on dates specified by Sponsor or otherwise forfeited. Approximate retail value of all available prizes is US $180,000.00. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION & CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS: Prizes may not be transferred or assigned. Prize winners must meet all eligibility requirements including, without limitation, the execution and delivery of all releases by prize winner and travel companions deemed necessary by Sponsor. Such releases must be filled out by participant and participants parent or legal guardian in their entirety, must be properly submitted or team is subject to disqualification. Prize winners and winners parent or legal guardian must agree to certain terms and conditions related to eligibility, release of liability, and Sponsors use of winner's name and/or likeness for publicity, advertising and promotional purposes, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) as part of the prize claim process. Noncompliance may result in disqualification. Taxes on all prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner and winners parent or legal guardian. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to the Sponsor to use winner's name and likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion in all media throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. By accepting any prize, winner and winners parent or legal guardian agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent, related, affiliated and subsidiary companies, and the officers, directors, agents, and employees of each from any claims or liability relating to participation in the Contest, or acceptance or use of the prize. Sponsor reserves the right to reschedule Contest events. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest or disqualify a participant if fraud or technical failures destroy or undermine the integrity of the Contest as determined by the Sponsor. IMPORTANT: ANY ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD OR VIOLATE THE RULES IN ANY WAY IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST WILL BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW AT SPONSORS SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION. SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE ANY INVESTIGATION INTO THE ELIGIBILITY OF A PARTICIPANT AND DELAY THE AWARD OF ANY PRIZE

DURING THE INVESTIGATION FOR ANY PERIOD OF TIME IT DEEMS NECESSARY AND PENDING THE RECEIPT OF ANY AND ALL INFORMATION IT DEEMS NECESSARY. 5. LIST OF PRIZE WINNERS: Names of all winners will be available after the end of the Contest. To receive a list of winners, mail a stamped, self-addressed envelope accompanied with a signed, hand-printed request to "Nerf NDTL World Championships Winners' List", PO Box 11488, Bozeman, MT - USA 59719-1488.
