Warranty Information

LIMITED WARRANTY: 3M warrants to the original purchaser that the 3M Respirator products and their component parts are quality products and will be free of defects in materials and workmanship and in conformance with any express warranty for a specific purpose for the first 90 days after delivery to the original purchaser and 3Ms only obligation and your exclusive remedy shall be to repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of such parts or products upon timely notification thereof and substantiation that the product has been stored, maintained and used in accordance with 3Ms written instructions. 3M Fit Testing Products Can Help You Meet OSHA Requirements
3M equipment and procedures provide a simple, direct way to meet OSHA qualitative fit testing requirements. Our fit test products can be used with any particulate or gas/vapor respirator with a particulate filter to test face-torespirator seal. The equipment helps satisfy respiratory program requirements and is easy to use during respiratory training. The fit test works by spraying a sweet or bitter solution into the hood environment. If the wearer does not detect the test agents taste, an acceptable fit has been demonstrated.

Fit Test Respirators

All respirator part numbers that end with Q are designed for fit testing. Fit Test Adapter 601 is used with 6000/7000 Series Respirators. Fit Test Adapter 7930 is used with 7000 Series Respirators.

3M Face-Mounted PAPR Systems
These systems feature a motor blower and high efficiency particulate filter mounted on a full facepiece. The battery is worn on the belt. These compact models offer great balance and a secure fit for the wearer. The high efficiency particulate filter can be used in environments with particulate contaminants such as dusts, mists, fumes and radionuclides. What is a Supplied Air Respirator?
Supplied Air Respirators are designed to deliver clean air to the worker. The air* can be supplied from a high pressure compressor (breathable plant air), low-pressure pumps, or cylinders (bottled air). This clean air can be delivered to hoods, helmets, full facepieces, half facepieces and loose-fitting facepieces. Supplied air respirators offer many advantages over traditional respiratory protection such as: Cooling or heating incoming air Fit testing only required on tight-fitting facepieces Supplied air systems are a good way to increase comfort, productivity and protection.

High Pressure hoses W-2929, W-9435, and W-9435SS have a 38" inner diameter and accept 14 FPT fittings. Low Pressure hose W-3020 has a 12" inner diameter and accepts 38 FPT fittings. Note: All fittings are National Taper Pipe Thread Fittings (NTPF). 3M compressed air hoses are equipped with MPTs on both ends. Hoses are shipped with the standard industrial interchange hose fittings (listed above) threaded on each end: a plug on one end and a socket on the other end. Other types of fittings, approved for use with 3M hoses, are listed above under Optional Fittings. Compatible fittings for the 3M Filter & Regulator Panel and 3M air control valves are shown for each type of fitting. MPT refers to Male Pipe Thread. FPT refers to Female Pipe Thread.

The W-3020 and W-2929 hoses can be used in single increments of 25, 50 or 100 feet (7.62, 15.24 or 30.48 meters). You may not combine 25 or 50 foot lengths of the W-9435 hose. W-9435 hose may be combined in 100 foot lengths up to a maximum of 300 feet.

General Information

The employer must have established a satisfactory respirator program such as described in OSHA Standard 1910.134 or CSA Standard Z94.4-93. The liftable design of the welding faceshield will not always prevent light from entering during some air arc welding procedures. Therefore, 3M does not recommend use of the W-8200B Welding Helmet for this application. Helmets meet ANSI Standard Z89.1-1997 for Type I, Class G, E and C Requirement for Protective Headwear for Industrial Workers. Helmet faceshield assembly meets ANSI Standard Z87.1-1989 Practice for Occupational and Educational Eye and Face Protection. (Faceshields are intended to be used in conjunction with other forms of eye protection.)

These hearing protection products help prevent hearing loss against certain noises.
