Extinguishing via its cooling effect, Novec 1230 fluid works as a gas, yet it is a liquid at room temperature. Because it is not packaged under pressure, Novec 1230 fluid has unique shipping and handling advantages over high pressure alternatives. Novec 1230 fluid systems allow for more efficient use of space compared to inert gas systems.
Where is Novec 1230 fluid used?
Novec 1230 fluid is a highly efficient fire extinguishant that can be used for flooding applications in engineered and pre-engineered systems. Cylinder/Valve Systems available at 360 or 500 psi SEVO Systems set the bar by being the rst company to design special hazards re suppression systems with 3M Novec 1230 Fire Protection Fluid. Other companies using this environmentally sustainable solution only offer 25 bar (360 psi) pre-engineered and engineered systems. We raised the bar by being the only company to offer 34.5 bar (500 psi) systems. More pressure allows retrot of existing Halon 1301 systems while utilizing welded cylinders. Our True Retrot solution enables you to use existing piping and meet the requirements of industry standards and specications by simply changing your cylinders and nozzles. The cylinder valve assemblies are equipped with a pressure differential high ow rate valve in order to meet the rapid discharge time of 10 seconds specied in NFPA 2001.

Fill/Rell Systems on Site The SEVO CAPS (Clean Agent Pumping System) Fill/Recharge Station is an easy to use, highly portable pumping and pressurization system. This closed lling operation provides a SEVO approved method for lling and pressurization. This system eliminates the need to remove agent storage cylinders requiring service by providing the user with a lightweight, tray mounted pump that can be taken into the eld. All components are housed in a durable rolling case for ease of transportation from site to site.
Our mobile relling sta ons for on site rellingavailable exclusively from SEVOensure your cylinders can be relled within 24 hours per NFPA 2001 and other interna onal standards. Mobile rells prevent any interrup on in protec on -- no ma er where you are located.

Valves are actuated by electric solenoid, pneumatic actuator or manual actuator relieving pressure above the piston permit the piston to thus fully open the valve and permit the agent to discharge through the valve outlet.
