Flexible systems design methodologies allow you to configure the R720 to match your budget and application requirements. The performance features include dual high-speed Intel Xeon processors. This means your system is already compatible with forthcoming native 64-bit operating systems and applications. The R720 delivers maximum Acer Altos performance density of flexible stand-alone server and simplifies cabling and helps reduce behind-the-rack clutter. Serial attached SCSI technology boosts storage performance to 3Gb/s per channel. The memory subsystem on the R720 supports memory mirroring and sparing. Flexible design methodologies mean that you can selected between PCI-X and PCI Express expansion slots.
