PoweroffboththeAdvantestU3661spectrum analyzerandthecomputerterminalrunningthe OASISspectrummanagementsoftware.
Step 2. Connecting to the Advantest U3661
ConnecttheGPIBinterfacecabletotheAdvantest U3661spectrumanalyzer.SettheGPIBaddressto thedesiredaddress.

Requirements

TheAdvantestU3661spectrumanalyzer(referto thereleasenotesforfirmwarerequirements)is designedtocommunicatetoOASISthroughthePC controlinterfaceGPIB.Besuretohavethemost currentOASISdriverforthisinstrument. FormoreinformationaboutsettingtheGPIB addressconsultyourinstrumentdocumentation.
Step 3. Connecting to the Computer
ConnecttheotherendoftheGPIBinterfacecableto thecomputerrunningtheOASISspectrum managementsoftware. IfyouneedhelpinstallingaGPIBinterfaceinthe computerrunningOASISclickhere.

Step 4. Activate the Remote Control Port
1. 2. 3. SelecttheCONFIGmenuusing <SHIFT><CONFIG>. Thendescendtwomenulevelsusing <NEXT>,<NEXT>. Select<POWER>.Checkthat<I/OPort On/OFF>hasONhighlighted.
Step 7. Add the Advantest U3661
ClickonAddReceiverandselecttheAdvantest SeriesSpectrumAnalyzer,1.
Step 5. Power-Up the System
PowerUptheAdvantestU3661spectrumanalyzer followedbythecomputerterminalthatisrunning OASIS.
Step 8. Select the Address
SelecttheGPIBaddressoftheAdvantestU3661 spectrumanalyzerbypressingtheupanddown arrowsontheReceiverConfigurationscreen.

Step 6. Run OASIS

RunOASIS.ClickonFrequency>Receiver Setup>ConfigureReceiversandselectOK whenpromptedtopausedataacquisition.
Step 9. Check the Advantest U3661
PressCheckReceiverbutton.Ifthereisanerror thatappearsintheReceiverConfigurationscreen, pleaseconsulttheReceiverConfiguration TroubleshootingGuideotherwisepresstheOK button.
