Energy efficient.

AEG laundry appliances are extremely efficient. Lavamat washing machines use about half of the water consumed per load by most North American front-loading machines, using as little as 42 litres (12 gallons) of water per load. Lavamat washing machines also fill with cold water only so that all fabrics are cold rinsed first before being washed in hot water. Energy consumption is also extremely low, with a complete wash at 60C or 140F requiring as little as 0.89kWh of electricity. Thanks to extremely rapid spin cycles of up to 1400 rpm, Lavamat washing machines remove as much residual moisture as possible before laundry reaches the dryer, reducing drying times and temperatures.

Delay Start

Operating appliances during off-peak hours reduces consumption on the power grid during peak periods. This means added savings for consumers, with reduced rates at these times. The delay start option for up to 20 hours ensures that laundry is ready exactly when required and helps to reduce creasing and musty odours.

Intelligent.

AEG laundry appliances have advanced features to provide perfect results load after load. Fuzzy logic intelligence controls water intake, temperature and rinse performance. Specialized programs and specific temperature settings provide ideal washing and drying conditions for all fabrics from delicates to denims.

This powerful new brushless (no carbon brushes) motor is not only designed to be more durable but also provides superior performance when compared to standard motors. With this advanced technology, AEG washing machines provide a more powerful wash performance, reduced wash times and quieter operation during washing and spinning cycles.

Silent System

Dedicated to producing a quiet, high performance laundry product line, AEG has developed advanced technology making our washing machines and dryers as unobtrusive as possible. The powerful new inverter motor and superior insulation effectively absorb vibrations. Thanks to stainless steel drums housed in Carboran outer tubs and superior insulation, these appliances operate quietly and efficiently at near silent noise levels of only 49dBA. The latest models are equipped with noise insulation panels which absorb high frequency noise, making these machines noticeably quieter, even at high spin speeds.

Gentle on fabrics.

Lavamat washing machines and Lavatherm dryers can actually extend the life of your wardrobe. Each load can be washed precisely to the manufacturers recommended temperature based on the fabric and weave, ranging from cold water to boiling (95oC). AEG washing machines also use special low-sudsing detergent, which is better for the environment and gentler on fabrics. Lavamat washing machines have a special feature that allows them to detect the murkiness of the water. All loads are rinsed a minimum of three times. If the water is still murky the machine will automatically continue to rinse until all dirt, detergent and residues are rinsed away. This leaves fabrics fresh and clean, by eliminating any detergent residue that is often left behind by other washing machines.

AEG washing machines and dryers have LCD graphic / LED displays to provide instantaneous feedback about the programs and options selected, ensuring complete control. The time display feature accurately indicates when the program will end or the time remaining, dependent on model.
Precise control for peace of mind

Time Saver

Available in all machines, the time saver option gives total control over the length of your wash. It offers options of normal, quick and very quick so that the length of the program can be reduced as necessary to suit your schedule. The wash time can be reduced by up to 25% for a 7kg load at 60 oC by pressing the button once and up to 60% by pressing the button twice and still provide a Class A rated wash.
Advanced Rinse Technology
AEG washing machines have advanced rinse technology. Water is pumped in above and below the load resulting in a more efficient rinse.

Large Load Capacity

With more demands being placed on your time, it makes perfect sense to wash as much as you can in one go. AEG offers both 7kg and 8kg load capacity machines, perfect for households with a lot of laundry. With a 7kg or 8kg load (approximately 35 to 40 shirts can be washed), the average weekly wash can be completed with ease. These machines also optimise water, energy and time when washing smaller loads.

Eco Valve

AEG Lavamat washing machines are equipped with an Eco Valve, a flap that shuts when the detergent is flushed from the drawer into the wash tub. This prevents any unused or undissolved detergent from passing through the tub and entering the sump where it would remain until being drained out and wasted. Thanks to this feature smaller amounts of detergent can be used, no detergent is wasted, and less water and energy are required to rinse each load.

Fuzzy Logic

Advanced fuzzy logic calculates the precise amount of water required for the main wash and rinse, giving the best possible detergent and energy consumption.

The foam suppression system minimizes the volume of water required for rinsing.

Flow Sensors
Flow sensors measure the exact amount of water taken into the machine to economize water usage and help protect against flooding. AEG laundry appliances have a range of programs designed to take extra care of your clothes and still provide the best wash performance.

Quick Intensive

The quick intensive wash program washes a 5kg (up to 25 shirts) load in one hour, delivering a Class A wash performance. It is the only one of its kind in the market that delivers Class A wash performance in an hour for this size load capacity.

Aqua control is an internal system which helps to keep control by monitoring the water level to detect leakage. This new quick wash cycle is a complete program that allows you to wash 3kg at 30 oC in just 20 minutes, making washing small loads efficient and easier than ever before.

Variomatic Spin

Variomatic spin is another feature which minimizes creasing by alternating progressively faster spinning with frequent tumbling stages, giving you the best possible vibration-free spin.

Refresh Program

Our washing idea for worn once clothes. Refreshingly quick in the refresh program up to 3kg (15 shirts) of clothes are washed at 30 oC.

Child Safety

For automatic child safety, keypads can be locked to ensure temperatures and program selectors cannot be changed making certain your laundry is always safe. In addition, the door can be adjusted to prevent children or pets from becoming trapped inside the drum, with a device installed on the door frame.

Sensitive Option

Designed specifically for people who are extra sensitive to dirt, dust, pollen and other irritants. Works on cotton and synthetic programs where fabric is gently moved around and has an extra rinse option, ensuring particles are rinsed out effectively.

Easy Iron

The easy iron program reduces ironing time by up to 50% by actively reducing creases in fabric.

Stain Action

The stain action function allows you to use stain removing agents with biopowder such as SIL. By having a fourth compartment for dispensing stain remover, the powder is only dispensed once the wash is at 40 o C making stain removing treatment more effective.

20 Minute Pre-wash

The 20 minute pre-wash option loosens dirt prior to the main wash, ensuring the ultimate washing performance.

Washing Machine Programs

AEG has the only wool program in the market with a cool down phase at the end of the wash phase. This prevents chill-shock when the cold rinse begins, ensuring shrinkage is minimised. This program gently rocks the clothes to and fro, even more gently than by hand. The temperature at this setting is limited to a safe 40 oC. The silk and lingerie programs are designed to care for and protect very delicate fabrics, ensuring optimum wash results with maximum care. The delicate program is designed for mixed fabrics found in delicate clothes. An extremely gentle program allows handwash labelled items to be washed by machine. A special sport program is available for heavily soiled clothes. A quick 30 minute refresh program is ideal for worn once clothes.

Dryers

The AEG tumble dryers dry clothes imitating the outdoors, indoors, with a range of gentle programs for unrivalled clothes care. With the use of advanced technology, programs have been developed to care for all types of fabric, designed to keep your every need in mind.

Vented Dryer

The vented dryer expels warm moist air from the machine. It is essential that this air is vented outside, therefore the appliance must be situated near an outside wall. There are three venting position options; left or right side, or rear.
40cm porthole and 165o door opening also facilitates easier handling of the laundry loads.

Tumble Dryer Programs

AEG tumble dryers have a special program for thicker fabrics, ideal for drying the seams of items such as jeans. There are special cycles with cool air and gentle tumbling so that even delicate fabrics such as wool and silk can be dried with confidence. To simply refresh clothes that have been stored in the closet there is the freshen up option. To dry clothes so they are ready to wear or store, there is the extra dry program and the storage dry program.
There are two types of AEG tumble dryers.

Sensor Drying

The sensor dryer on all AEG tumble dryers gives you exceptional drying results and total control. Simply choose the required level of dryness on the rotary control, from iron dry for slightly damp clothes to extra dry for ready-to-wear results. The machine will then sense when the clothes are dried to the specified level. There is no need to keep checking to see if your clothes are ready, the sensor dryer will do all the work, and an audio signal will alert you.

Condensation Dryer

The condensation dryer condenses the moisture back into water and fills a large self-sealed water container that can be removed and the water poured down the sink. If situated near a drain, a drain hose kit can be connected to drain this water automatically. As no venting is required for this model, it can be situated anywhere in the home, making it ideal for installation in an en-suite bathroom.

Perfectly Coordinated

WASHING MACHINE FEATURES & FUNCTIONS INTELLIGENT LOAD MIXING Detects the mix of fabrics (cottons or synthetics) and selects the appropriate wash dependent on which fabrics are detected. Convenient and caring with clothes. RINSE HOLD FACILITY Helps to reduce the creasing & fausty odours from leaving damp clothes in the drum after the cycle has finished, by holding the clothes in water from the final rinse, until it is convenient to select the spin programme. RINSE PLUS Produces the perfect rinsing results by inserting an extra rinse into the wash cycle. This option can be selected for those with sensitive skin, however if too much detergent is detected on the final rinse, Rinse Plus is automatically activated. ADVANCED RINSE TECHNOLOGY Water enters the tub from the bottom to rinse the clothes, whilst also being pumped in from top of the drum driving water into the middle of the wash load resulting in a more efficient rinse. BIO WASH PHASE Holds the wash at 40C for almost 10 minutes before continuing with the cycle resulting in better stain removal by increasing the effectiveness of enzymes in Biological detergent for cleaner clothes at lower temperatures. PRE-WASH 20 minute cold wash option to loosen dirt and stubborn stains prior to the main wash selected. STAIN ACTION Allows you to use stain-removing agents with biological powder, by adding extra time after the Bio Phase to allow introduction of stain remover prior to continuing with the wash. LED DISPLAY Displays the time remaining along with any start delay countdown if selected. LED WASH PHASE INDICATOR Each LED lights up to indicate which wash phase the machine is currently in. FUZZY LOGIC Adjusts the wash cycle depending on the load and programme. It calculates the amount of water required for the main wash, providing the best washing and rinse performance with the lowest water, detergent and energy consumption. FLOW SENSOR Measures the amount of water that has flowed into the machine, to control water usage and help protect against flooding. TURBIDITY SENSOR This measures the clarity of the rinse water. If turbidity is detected (e.g. excess detergent, fluff) then an extra rinse is automatically added, to give perfect rinse results. AQUA CONTROL An internal system, which monitors the water level to detect leakage. Once detected, water will be prevented from entering the machine and the display will indicate this problem. INTERIOR DRUM LIGHT The drum automatically lights up when door is open for greater visibility when loading and unloading. CHILD SAFETY LOCK Locks the door so it cannot be closed, especially a concern for families with children and pets. FOAM SUPPRESSION SYSTEM If excess foam is detected water is added to the wash ensuring that foaming is reduced, for improved rinsing. UPDATE FACILITY The facility for AEG to update wash profiles when they are available. Machine will be kept up-to-date with new technology (optional extra). ENERGY RATING All AEG washing machines are AA graded, A for wash and A for energy. SPIN SPIN UP-TO 1800RPM The higher the spin speed, the more water will be expelled from the clothes giving a shorter drying time. VARIOMATIC SPINS This alternates progressively faster spinning with frequent tumbling stages, to minimise creasing. TUMBLE DRYING FEATURES & FUNCTIONS LARGE PORTHOLE The large 30cm portholes along with 165 door opening makes AEG tumble dryers easy to load and unload. REVERSE TUMBLE ACTION Loosens clothes as they dry to prevent tangling and creasing. COOL DOWN Cool air is introduced at the end of the cycle to minimise creasing for easier ironing. CLEAN FILTER INDICATORS Indicates when the fluff filter needs cleaning in order to ensure an efficient drying programme. WATER TANK FULL INDICATOR Indicates when the water tank is full. The dryer will not continue unless it has space to condense the water vapour into the tank. ENERGY RATING All AEG tumble dryers are energy rated C. LOAD Load sizes of up to 6kg to dry the same load that has just been washed. LCD DISPLAY Gives precise and constant feedback on the product's status; on/off function, fridge temperature setting, a mode setting (shopping, frostmatic, coolmatic and holiday settings) and a freezer temperature setting. SHOPPING CONTROL Convenience when cooling and freezing after the weekly shopping, this activates the coolmatic and frostmatic functions at the same time. HOLIDAY FUNCTION This is used when the fridge compartment will not be used for a long period. The fridge is automatically set at 14C, however the freezer is not affected. VISUAL/AUDIO SIGNALS High Temperature Indicator (if door has been left open, or there has been a power cut). Door Indicator (visual and/or audible) signals if the door is open. Service Indicator signals if there is a fault requiring technical assistance. ADVANCED FRIDGE FEATURES LONGFRESH CHILL ZONES Allows fresh food to be kept for longer at a low temperature, which is approximately 1C to 3C. The natural humidity level of the food is preserved with a humidity control device, resulting in fresher food for longer. COOLMATIC Lowers the temperature of the fridge, to quickly chill new shopping to preserve the flavour, colour and nutritional value of the food. SALAD CRISPERS WITH HUMIDITY CONTROL A separate compartment for both vegetables and salad, which increases the storage life of food by helping to keep fruit and vegetables crisp. DYNAMIC MINI EVAPORATOR (DME) The temperature is the same throughout the fridge so the internal space can be used fully to offer better food preservation, reduce transfer of odours and avoid condensation build up and ice inside of the fridge. QUICK CHILL The Quick Chill chills bottles & cans 50% faster than they would usually take! HALOGEN LIGHT Good visibility of all food inside the fridge with a high quality light giving a brighter effect than the standard light. ADVANCED FREEZER FUNCTIONS FROSTMATIC Lowers the temperature of the freezer to freeze any newly added fresh food quickly. Should be activated 24 hours in advance, although automatically switches itself off after a maximum 25 hours or when the freezing temperature (-35C) has been reached. This function will preserve the flavour, texture and nutrients in the food. TURBO FREEZING Fast-freeze push button. Ideal when putting fresh food in the freezer. Freezes the food as fast as possible to preserve flavour, nutritional value and colour of food. This feature also protects the food already frozen from heating due to warmer food being added. ICE & COOL A solution to optimise the use of your freezer; with the push of a button, you can transform the freezer into a fridge and set the temperature to have: A long-fresh cool appliance (0C-2C) A fridge (3C-9C) A cellar to store food and drink (9C-16C) MAXI BOX/DRAWER Ideal for large items such as a Christmas turkey or large birthday cake.
