If you plan on ordering this product, expect to have to buy a power adapter from Radio Shack. Best digital frame I could find Looks beautiful, and all buttons are built into the frame. Has 128K of built in memory. I bought it as a gift.

AKG WMS400/450 Quick Setup

IR UpLink IR

On/Off

Display

Switch Back Setup Forward
NOTE: The instructions below need to be repeated one at a time for each WMS400 system you are adding. Before you start, you must turn on all the existing UHF wireless microphone transmitters and receivers you already have installed (if any). Proceed with the instructions below, for the first new WMS400 system, then the second, third, etc. Each time you have finished one system leave the transmitter and receiver turned ON while you program the next one. 1) Press the On/Off switch on the SR 400 receiver to turn it on. DO NOT turn on the transmitter yet. On the display you should see "NAME" GROUP" and "CHANNEL" across the top of the LCD Display and ""FREQ" and "LOCK" on the bottom. 2) Press and hold the Setup button until the "LOCK" indicator disappears (about 2 seconds). NOTE: For all the instructions below, when instructed to press the setup button, press and release it quickly, do not hold it. 3) Press the Back button and the display should read "AUTO" with "CHANNEL" at the top. Press Back again to display "GROUP". 4) Press Setup and the display should read No Ch 1. Use the Forward and Back buttons to set the number to the total number of UHF wireless microphone systems you will be using. For example, if you already have three WMS81 wireless systems and you are adding two WMS400 systems, set the number to 5. 5) Press the Setup button again. The "NAME" indicator will flash and two letters will flash below the name. Press and release the Forward button until the NAME reads "CA" (for Canada). 6) Press the Setup button and the receiver will scan for used frequencies and program itself for the next available channel. The display will flash CA and numbers under "GROUP" and "CHANNEL". 7) Press Setup, and the display will read SAVE - Y. Press Setup to save the program. 8) Now the display will flash "PROG IR". It is now ready to program the transmitter. 9) Slide the switch on the PT400 receiver to the MUTE/PRG position (mid). If you accidentally turn it to ON, turn it off and try again. Hold the PT400 Beltpack Transmitter 1 - 2 inches in front of the SR400 receiver so that the IR Uplink on the receiver is directly in line with the IR sensor on the Transmitter, then press the Setup button on the receiver. 10) The display on the receiver should now read IR OK. If it says IR ERR, press Setup and it will say RETRY, if this is the case you need to try it again by repeating step 9 above. 11) Press and Hold the Setup button on the receiver to LOCK it, then slide the switch on the transmitter to ON. The green OK light on the receiver should illuminate, and you are done. If you have more than one WMS400 system, repeat the procedure for each one. Be sure to leave the ones you have programmed ON while you set up each additional system.

WMS 400 State of

the art Wireless Microphone Systems
The AKG WMS 400 wireless microphone system is your best choice for any application calling for a solution that is more flexible than a simple plugand-play system yet easy to set up and operate. The WMS 400 provides cost-efficient, highperformance solutions for situations where several radio mics will be used simultaneously. Using several singlechannel systems has its limitations and may simply be too much for the available radio band. Based on the technology of and user input on the revolutionary WMS 4000 wireless system, the SR 400 provides a number of features that make setting up and operating a wireless system as easy as never before. Up to 12 channels can be used simultaneously within the same subband and even large systems will work smoothly in environments hostile to RF transmission. The WMS 400 makes setting up a professional wireless system of this class easier than ever before. In Auto Setup mode, the receiver will scan the available bands, find an interference- free channel, and transmit the related frequency data to the assigned transmitter via infrared. This technique significantly reduces the time it takes to set up a multichannel system. A Rehearsal function identifying dead spots, a programmable display clearly indicating all important system parameters, two-color display backlighting warning the user of critical conditions from a distance, and a transmitter battery status display on the receiver enhance reliability and add to ease of use. Being compatible with professional WMS 4000 antenna splitters, power supplies, and high quality antennas, the WMS 400 enables you to set up highly complex wireless systems. The HT 400 handheld and PT 400 bodypack are high-performance, compact transmitters for a host of wireless applications. Many innovative features enhance both system reliability and user friendliness. The LC display indicates all important system data at a glance, including the frequency you selected from the
factory presets (country, group, channel), transmitter battery capacity, a warning when battery capacity is low, as well as the current transmission mode. Once you have set a frequency on the receiver, an infrared transmission link will feed the related data to the assigned transmitter within seconds, making the setting up of large multichannel systems child's play. The HT 400 handheld transmitter is available with a dynamic or a condenser microphone element. Any wireless microphone system depends on sufficiently charged batteries in all the transmitters. There is nothing more embarrassing than a transmitter running out of juice in the middle of the show, or a voice fading as the transmitter battery dies. The CU 400 puts an end to this kind of hassle. It can charge two batteries simultaneously to full capacity within one hour, and there is no risk of overcharging the batteries.

Transmitter/receiver

The situation with a transmitter and a receiver can be compared to the transmission of a signal between a radio station and a radio set. When we encounter problems with reception, we will either reposition the antenna, or look for the station on another frequency. The WMS 400 allows 12 channels to be used simultaneously and provides 1200 selectable frequencies for reliable transmission.
System Configuration Options
The WMS400 is available in Body Pack, for lapel, head mic and guitar applications, and Hand Held versions. Both have a number of microphone options. The systems we usually sell are the: - WMS400PT Body Pack system with the CK77WRL lapel mic - WMS400PT Body Pack system with the C1000T head mic - WMS400HT Hand Held system with the C900 microphone head Although we do offer lower cost microphones, the above configurations provide you with the very best sound quality and performance while being the least conspicuous.
