1 Introduction
The main scope of this document is to describe the Alcatel-Lucent IP Touch DoorCam XML application, based on Xml IP Touch integration. This easy-to-install application brings DoorCam facilities for one or several doors to any Alcatel Lucent IP Touch 4068 phone set and door activation with a single key. IP Cameras and intercoms are installed at the entrance areas to be controlled by the system,; and electrical locks can be added to the doors to allow remote opening. The Alcatel Lucent 8 SERIES terminals handle the calls from the intercoms and display images from the cameras. Using telephony features, the video door phone (DoorCam) service helps keep costs down and improves Customer Welcome. It also provides an effective method to forward the facility during absence or night time.

Display of the image from the camera(s) located at the door(s) or anywhere else The IP Touch DoorCam can be opened from any video door phone application. The IP Touch DoorCam can be used to select camera(s) independently from telephony. This solution can be deployed on a Windows server. Page 3

3 Operations
When a visitor arrives at an entrance area where an intercom and a Lancam are installed, he can make a call by using the intercom. Once the call is initiated, one or more Alcatel-Lucent IP Touch 4068 phone sets with Door Cam XML application ring. When an Alcatel-Lucent IP Touch 4068 phone set with DoorCam option connects to the intercom call, the image from the LAN camera is displayed on the screen. While connected, it is possible to open the door by pressing a key on the set (F1). The user will be able to acce the LanCam images, independently of an ongoing call, by entering ss directly into the application enabled on the phone set.
Graphical interface is provided as an example (not finalized)

4 Architecture
The DoorCam application is designed to inter-work with two types of intercoms:
4.1 MWS Intercom:
The intercoms manufactured by MWS are fully compatible with Alcatel Lucent 4034 digital sets. As a consequence, each MWS intercom has to be declared in the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise as a regular IP Touch 4034 set. However, some specific configuration must still be done on the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise in order to configure the intercom. Moreover, it is possible to convert it into an IP Phone using a 4098 plugware. In this case, the set must be declared in the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise as an IP Touch 4037 set; the configuration of the pkeys and directory keys remains unchanged.

4.2 Castel Intercom:
With 4098 plugware
Castel provides intercoms that can be interconnected to an Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise via a specific adaptor, called IPS2. This adaptor provides the possibility to command electrical locks, as well as to configure the way the intercoms attached to it operate. This configuration is programmed sending DTMF tones to the adaptor and is stored in its internal memory. The following illustration shows the way the IPS adaptor interconnects Castel intercoms to an OXE:
Intercom 1 Analog port
Intercom 2
To Power supply 230V
Note that the two intercoms are seen by the OmniPCX Enterprise as a unique regular analog set; indeed, it is the IPS2 which plays the role of the analog set. The management to be carried out in theOmniPCX Enterprise is to add an Analogtype set, with no particular characteristics.

5 Use cases:
User A receives a call on the intercom. While the phone is ringing, images from the video camera associated to the intercom are displayed automatically- on the set screen. User A picks up the call and starts talking with the person asking to enter t office. User A he prevents entry and hangs up. While hanging up, the display window is closed. User A receives a call on the intercom. While the phone is ringing, images from the video camera associated to the intercom are displayed automatically on the set screen. User A picks up the call and starts talking with the person asking to enter the office. User A authorizes entry and opens the door by pressing the F1 key on the set. User A is informed of an intrusion in the office premises. By entering the DoorCam application through his phone set, a pop up window displays the images of the selected Lancam to check the information.

6 How does it work?
As illustrated, the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise IP Touch DoorCam software is directly interfaced with two elements: It is connected to the IP Lancam, from which images are transmitted For the interaction with the sets, the software is connected with the Alcatel Lucent Xml API Framework; this connection allows the two main features of the solution to perform: o The real time display of the image on the screens of the Alcatel-Lucent IP Touch sets
The generation of pop-up dialog boxes on the Alcatel-Lucent IP Touch sets when communication with intercoms are established; this feature, also referred to as CTI in this document, is available in Alcatel-Lucent IP Touch DoorCam provided that the Xml API Framework allows it.
