USE THE CORRECT AMPERE RATING WHEN REPLACING FUSES Replace fuses only with fuses of the same ampere rating. Failure to do so may result in a fire and/or damage to the vehicle. HALT USE IMMEDIATELY IF A PROBLEM APPEARS When problems appear, stop using the system immediately and contact the dealer from whom you purchased the equipment. Some problems which may warrant immediate attention include a lack of sound, noxious odors or smoke being emitted from the unit, or foreign objects dropped inside the unit. DO NOT OPERATE THE EQUIPMENT WHILE DRIVING Do not change settings while driving. If operation requiring a prolonged view of the display is required, stop the vehicle in a safe location before attempting operation.
Thermal Protection Circuit
Be sure the temperature inside the vehicle is between +60C (+140F) and 10C (+14F) before attempting to play a disc. If the temperature is over +60C (+140F), the protection circuit functions to stop the CD changer, and HI TEMP is displayed.
Moisture Condensation
You may notice the CD playback sound wavering due to condensation. If this happens, remove the disc from the player and wait about an hour for the moisture to evaporate.
Damaged Disc
Do not attempt to play cracked, warped, or damaged discs. Playing a bad disc could severely damage the playback mechanism.
Maintenance
If you have problems, do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Return it to your Alpine dealer or the nearest Alpine Service Station for servicing.
Irregular Shaped Discs
Be sure to use round shape discs only for this unit and never use any other special shape discs. Use of special shape discs may cause damage to the mechanism.

Vrifier que la temprature l'intrieur du vhicule est comprise entre +60C et 10C avant de reproduire un disque. Si la temprature dpasse +60C, le circuit de protection se dclenche pour arrter le changeur CD et l'indication "HI TEMP" est affiche.
Cercirese de que la temperatura del interior del vehculo est comprendida entre +60C y 10C antes de intentar reproducir un disco. Si la temperatura fuese superior a +60C, se activara el circuito termoprotector a fin de detener el cambiador de discos compactos, y se visualizara "HI TEMP".
Condensation d'humidit

New Discs
As a protective measure, the CD changer will automatically eject discs that have either been inserted intorrectly or have irregular surfaces. If a new disc is ejected immediately after loading, use your finger to feel around the outer edge of the CD and its centre hole. If you feel any small bumps or irregularities, this could inhibit proper loading of the disc. To remove the bumps, rub the inside edge of the hole and outside edge of the disc with a ball-point pen or other such instrument, then insert the disc again.

Handling Magazine
When discs are being exchanged in the 3DE7886R, the magazine is pushed out from the changer. While this operation is in progress, do not try to pull out the magazine or stop its movement in any way, as this could cause damage to the mechanism. In addition, be aware of the changer's operation so it will not interfere with your driving. For example, before changing gears, check the position of the magazine so as not to hit it while it is changing discs. CAUTION: Do not insert anything other than magazine into the insertion slot.
Adjusting Volume/Bass/Treble/ Balance/Fader
VOL BASS TREB BAL FAD
Press and release the MODE/LOUD button repeatedly to choose the desired mode. Notes: If the 6 or 5 button is not pressed in 5 seconds after selecting the BASS, TREB, BAL and FAD modes, the unit automatically sets to the VOL mode.
Press the button 6 or 5 until the desired sound is obtained in each mode. Notes: These buttons have a "Dual Speed" function. Pressing lightly will change the level slowly. Pressing the buttons harder will change the level quickly. The BASS and TREBLE settings for each source (FM, MW/LW and CD) are automatically memorized. These settings remain until you manually change them.
Turning Loudness On/Off
Loudness introduces a special low and highfrequency emphasis at low listening levels to compensate for the ear's decreased sensitivity to bass and treble sound.
Press and hold the MODE/LOUD button for at least 2 seconds to activate or deactivate the loudness mode. LD will appear in the upper, left corner of the display to indicate the Loudness function is on.

Sound Guide Function
This function will give audible feedback with varying tones depending upon the button pressed.
Press and hold the PWR button for more than 3 seconds.
BEEP ON BEEP OFF
Press the Preset 1 button and the display shows "BEEP ON." Pressing the button again turns the Sound Guide function off. "BEEP OFF" will be displayed and no tones will be heard. Press the PWR button to activate the normal mode.
ACT Function
Touching the CD magazine during its eject or disc change cycle can damage the mechanism. To prevent this, a warning light and beep will activate while the cycle is in progress. The audible beep may be disabled leaving only the warning light active.
ACT ON ACT OFF
Press the Preset 2 button to select the ACT ON or OFF mode.
Press the PWR button to activate the normal mode.

Receiving RDS Regional (Local) Stations
Press and hold the INTLZ button for at least 3 seconds to activate the setting mode.
REG ON REG OFF
Press the Preset 4 button to turn on or off the REG (Regional) mode. In the REG OFF mode, the unit automatically keeps receiving the related local RDS station.
Press the INTLZ button to deactivate the setting mode.

Receiving Traffic Information
T.INFO TP
Press the T.INFO button to activate the Traffic Information mode.
Press the DN (g) or UP (f) button to select your desired traffic information station. When a traffic information station is tuned in, the TP indicator lights up. Traffic information is heard only when it is being broadcast. If traffic information is not being broadcast, the unit is set in the standby mode. When a traffic information broadcast begins, the unit automatically receives it and the display shows "TRF-INFO" for 2 seconds and returns to the PS display. When traffic information broadcast is over, the unit will automatically set in the standby mode. Notes: If the traffic information broadcast signal falls below a certain level, the unit remains in the receiving mode for 1 minute. If the signal remains below a certain level for over 1 minute, the "T.INFO" indicator blinks. If you do not want to listen to the traffic information being received, lightly press the T. INFO button to skip that traffic information message. The T. INFO mode will remain in the ON position to receive the next traffic information message. If the volume level is changed while receiving traffic information, the changed volume level will be memorized. When traffic information is received next time, the volume level will be automatically adjusted to the level memorized.
PTY (Programme Type) Tuning
Press the "F" button. The function indicator will be off.
Press the PTY button to activate the PTY mode. The Programme Type of the station being currently received will be displayed for 5 seconds. If there is no receivable PTY broadcast, "NONE" will be displayed for 5 seconds. If no RDS station can be received, the display shows "NO RDS." Note: If no button is pressed within 5 seconds after pressing the PTY button, the PTY mode will be automatically cancelled.

Press the DN (g) and UP (f) buttons within 5 seconds after activating the PTY mode to choose the desired programme type while the PTY (programme type) is being displayed. Each press scrolls the programme type by one.
Press the PTY button within 5 seconds after selecting the programme type to start searching for a station in the selected programme type. The chosen programme type indicator blinks during searching and lights when a station is found. If no station is found, "NO PTY" will be displayed for 5 seconds.
Press the "F" button to activate the normal mode. The function indicator will illuminate.

Receiving Traffic Information While Playing CD or Radio
T.INFO
Press the T.INFO button repeatedly until the T.INFO indicator appears in the display.
Press the DN (g) and UP (f) buttons to select a traffic information station if necessary. When a traffic information broadcast starts, the unit automatically mutes the CD changer or the regular FM broadcast. When the traffic information broadcast finishes, the unit automatically returns to the original source play before the traffic information broadcast began. When traffic information stations cannot be received: In the tuner mode: When the TP signal can no longer be received for over 1 minute, the "T.INFO" indicator blinks. In the CD mode: When the TP signal can no longer be received, the traffic information station of another frequency will be selected automatically. Note: The receiver is equipped with the EON (Enhanced Other Networks) function in order to keep track of additional alternative frequencies to the AF list. The EON indicator appears while an RDS EON station is being received. If the station being received does not broadcast the traffic information, the receiver automatically tunes in the related station that broadcasts the traffic information when it occurs. Press the T.INFO button to deactivate the Traffic Information mode. The T.INFO indicator disappears.

Battery Replacement
Opening the battery case 1 Place the remote upside down on a flat, level surface. Looking at the back of the remote, grasp the battery holder at the bottom of the unit between your forefinger and thumb. Insert a pointed object into the left side of the elongated hole. Slide the pointed object to the right (as indicated by the arrow) while at the same time pulling on the battery holder. 2 Pull the rear cover out with your thumb at the same time.
Replacing the battery Put the battery in the case with the (+) indication upward as shown in the illustration.
Closing the case Push the battery holder back into the remote until a click is heard.

Mode CD
Modo de discos compactos
La temprature dpasse +50C (+120F). Laissez la temprature de l'habitacle (ou du coffre) baisser.
Se encuentra a ms de +50C (+120F) de temperatura. Deje que se enfre la temperatura en el interior (o en el portaequipajes) del vehculo. Se ha condensado humedad en el mdulo de discos compactos. Espere el tiempo necesario para que se evapore la humedad (aproximadamente 1 hora). El disco compacto est daado. Extraiga el disco compacto y trelo. Cause and Solution Protective circuit is activated due to high temperature. The indicator will disappear when the temperature returns to within operation range.

No disc is loaded. Select a disc.
NO MAGZN
No magazine is loaded. Insert a magazine.
Malfunction in the unit. Press the eject button and remove the CD from the CD magazine. Inspect the CD for any deformities or irregularities (see pages 8 10). If there appears to be no problems with the disc, insert the CD back into the magazine. When the "ERROR" indication disappears from the display, insert the magazine into the unit. If the magazine does not eject, consult your Alpine dealer. Magazine ejection not possible. Press the magazine eject button. If the magazine does not eject, consult your Alpine dealer. Magazine ejects without CD Press the eject button to activate the eject function. Insert an empty CD magazine into the 3D Shuttle to receive the disc left inside the unit. If the CD cannot be removed, consult your Alpine dealer.

Cause et solution Le circuit de protection s'est dclench car la temprature est trop leve. L'indication disparat quand la temprature revient dans la plage de fonctionnement.
