Do remember to put the hand protector onto the TV as shown in the right picture to prevent being hurt while moving it by hand. Children'd better not play around the TV since the sharp edge may hurt them.
Inserting Batteries into Remote Control

Batteries installation

A. Pull the battery cover downward in the direction shown by the arrow and remove it. B. Insert t wo AAA batteries with correct polarity.

C. Replace the battery compartment cover.
Point the remote control at the remote sensor.
Connecting TV Unit with Antenna/Cable TV
Take off the rear interface cover
Drive the manual screws using your hand in the direction as the arrow shown in the picture to take it out. After taking two screws out, put your hand at the area of the rear interface cover shown in the picture, pull it downwards and take it off.

Plug the antenna/cable TV lead into the ANTENNA terminal on the bottom of the back panel.
Make sure your cable (not supplied) is available and kindly connect the antenna cable as shown in the picture. For more detailed antenna/cable TV connections, see pages 6 of the user's manual.

Connect the cable or antenna to the ANTENNA IN terminal on the back of the VCR. Connect an RF cable between the ANTENNA OUT terminal on the VCR and the ANTENNA IN (CABLE) terminal on the TV. Connect an audio cable between the AUDIO OUT jacks on the VCR and the AV IN [R-AUDIO-L] jack on the TV. Connect a video cable between the VIDEO OUT jack on the VCR and the AV IN Jacks [VIDEO] on the TV. If you have a mono (non-stereo) VCR, use a Y-connector (not supplied) to hook up to the R-AUDIO-L jacks on the TV.

DVI to HDMI Cable
Connect a DVI to HDMI cable or DVI=HDMI Adapter (DVI to HDMI) between the HDMI/DVI connector on the TV and DVI connector on the DVD player/Set-top box. Connect an audio cable between the PC AUDIO IN jack on the TV and the AUDIO OUT jacks on the DVD player/Set-top box.
Connecting a Set-top box via HDMI

Connect a HDMI cable between the HDMI/DVI connector on the TV and the HDMI connector on the DVD player/Set-top box. If connecting with an HDMI cable, it is not necessary to connect an audio cable. If connecting to an equipment witch only has a DVI output terminal, DVI to HDMI adapter cable and an other audio cable is necessar ily needed. HDMI / DVI deos not support a PC which has a DVI connector.
When connecting with HDMI, you can get better audio effect by connecting digital audio signal device to other playing devices like amplifier through Coaxial or Optical connector.

Connecting a DVD/Set-top box via SCART

Scart Cable

Connect a SCART cable between the SCART connector on the DVD payer or Set-top box and the SCART connector on the TV back panel. Since there are three SCART connectors on the TV back, please make sure the input signal type and connect them to corresponding SCART jack. For detailed SCART connection operation, please refer to P9 of the user's manual.

S-Video

The signal input to EXT1 will be detected automatically. Select the desired signal type on "Source Setting" in the "Setting" menu according to the input signal source-only for EXT1/EXT2. The setting will be stored and can be viewed on "SOURCE" MENU. For detailed information, please refer to the user's manual.

Source Setting

Amoi LCD TV has professional "Scart Auto Playback" function, which will automatically switch main sources after changing the input signal. For detailed operation please refer to P15 of user's manual.
Connecting Component Signal Devices

Component Signal Source

Audio Cable Component Cable
Connect an audio cable between the COMPONENT IN [L, R (AUDIO)] jacks on the TV and the AUDIO OUT jacks on the DVD player. Connect a component video cable between the COMPONENT IN [Y, Pb, Pr] jacks on the TV and the COMPONENT [Y, Pb, Pr] jacks on the DVD player. Each external input source device (DVD, STB, VCR etc.) has a different back panel configuration.

Audio Cable Video Cable S-Video Cable
Connect an Audio cable between Audio out jack of the S-VIDEO or Composite signal device and the AUDIO jack [L-AUDIO-R] on the side interface of TV. Connect a video cable between the Video out jack of the S-VIDEO or Composite signal device and the VIDEO jack on the side interface of TV. OR: Connect S-VIDEO /Composite video cable between S-Video jacks of the corresponding Device to the S-VIDEO jack on the side interface of TV. Normally you don't have to connect Video Cable if S-VIDEO is connected. If you connect both at the same time, S-VIDEO will work instead of Video Cable.

Connecting a PC

PC Video Cable

Connect the D-Sub cable to PC (PC IN) on the TV. Connect the stereo audio cable to PC AUDIO IN on the TV and the other end to Audio Out of the sound card on the computer.

Power On

First connect your TV to power source using power plug. Install the rear interface cover back onto the TV back. Then press " Power switch " on. After that the indicator will be red. Finally two ways to turn on your TV: Press "POWER" button on RC; Press "POWER" button on the upper panel of TV unit.

Initial Auto Installation
When the TV powers on for the first time after purchase, the initial auto installation is involved. You can automatically set language, country, time, sound system and channels in successive operations.
The initial auto installation functions only once.
This menu will display on the TV screen automatically after the TV being turning on for the first time. Press "OK" button to choose "Next" to start.

Set sound system Press " " buttons to choose the optimum sound system among locally receivable broadcasting systems "DK/BG/I/L/L". T hen press "OK" to confirm. Press " " to enter "Next" and then press "OK" to enter the setting, or press " " to choose "Cancel" or "Back".

Channel Preset

Channel Preset Press "OK" to start the auto search, or press " " to choose "Cancel" or "Back". After this setting , auto search starts with the following order 1. Program auto search 2. Auto labelling 3. Auto sorting You do not need to do anything during the auto search. During the initial auto installation process, the channel found will be labeled and sorted automatically. Automatic channel labeling The TV can only name channels where the channel labeling information is provided. If no channel labeling information is provided, the TV only displays the channel number, leaving the channel name blank. Automatic channel sorting Dual the process of auto labeling, the TV sorts the labeled channels automatically.

Auto Search

Auto Search Press "EXIT" to stop the auto search, but you are recommended not to stop it during the search process since the initial auto installation functions only once.
After the auto search finished, the finishing sign menu will display on the screen. Then the TV will stop at channel one. Watching TV The setup menu disappears and you can watch the program on channel 1.

Teletext

Most set channels carry teletext , pages of written information that provide information such as: Television program times News bulletins and Weather forecasts Sports results Subtitles for the hard of hearing The teletext pages are organized according to six categories: Part A B C D E F Contents Selected page number. Broadcasting station identity. Current page number or searching status. Date and time. Text. Status information.
To activate the teletext mode and display the contents page:
1 Using the (CH+/CH-) buttons to select the channel providing the teletext service. 2 Press the TXT/MIX ( ) button to activate the teletext mode.

Result: The contents page is displayed. It can be redisplayed at any time by pressing the INDEX ( ) button.
3 To display the actual broadcast simultaneously with the teletext Page, press the TXT/MIX button again. 4 To return to normal viewing, press the TXT/MIX button for the third time.
The buttons for Teletext function are invalid when menu displaying. You can activate the teletext function buttons by pressing the "EXIT" or TXT/MIX " button. Image freezing function is invalid under TXT/MIX mode. The image freezing mode will exit automatically when entering Text mode.
Selecting a Specific Teletext Page Press the number buttons on the remote control to enter the page number directly: 1 Enter the three-digit page number listed in the contents by pressing the corresponding numeric buttons. Result: The current page counter is incremented and the page is then displayed.
2 If the selected page is linked with several secondary pages, the secondary pages are displayed in sequence. To freeze the display on a given page, press the HOLD ( Press HOLD ( ) button again to resume. ) button.
