| For what is essentially a stylish wireless keyboard, this is a bit over-priced. That said, it beats all other keyboards I have used hands down. | |

| Good product for some people Personally, I have no functional complaints about this keyboard. It looks nice. Excellent keyboard (with the exception of a few minor downfalls). This keyboard is great, for the most part. It functions properly. Old school gadget for editors. Nevertheless of the sharp and futuristic design of aluminum apple thin-keyboards. | |

Apple Addresses Battery Issues with Wireless Peripherals, Releases Free Update
Free download for Aluminum Keyboard Firmware Update 1.1
Apple Aluminum Wireless keyboard Apple
Apple has stepped up to address battery performance of the 2007 aluminum Apple Wireless Keyboard when used in combination with other Bluetooth devices, including the company's new Magic Mouse. Although welcome, the update apparently doesn't fix battery issues plaguing some users of the Magic Mouse. Talking about the particularities of the Aluminum Wireless Keyboard Firmware Update 1.1, Apple stresses that it should improve the battery performance of the Apple Wireless Keyboard (2007) when used with the Apple Magic Mouse and some Bluetooth headsets. According to the Mac maker, "The update also addresses an issue with the Apple Keyboard (2007) and the Apple Wireless Keyboard (2007), where a key may repeat unexpectedly while typing." "Make sure your wireless keyboard is powered on and paired with your computer before starting this update," Apple adds. "Quit all open applications, then download the update," the instructions go. To install the update, users will need the administrator password. For those owning multiple wireless peripherals, they must locate the Aluminum Wireless Keyboard Firmware Update in the /Applications/Utilities folder and run the update again. As noted above, Magic Mouse users accusing excessive battery drainage seem to have been left in the cold this time around. Hopefully, by some miracle, the new firmware update will have a beneficial impact on the multi-touch peripheral as well. Softpedia, as faithful readers should know, has carried out tests revealing that the Magic Mouse power-management software may be at fault, regarding the short battery life. Posted on January 25, 2010, the Aluminum Keyboard Firmware Update 1.1 is 1.52MB in size, requires Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) or Mac OS X 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard) and supports languages including Deutsch, English, Français, Español, Italiano, Nederlands, Dansk, Norsk Bokmål, Polski, Português, Português Brasileiro, P, Suomi, Svensk, etc. Download Aluminum Keyboard Firmware Update (Free)
