1. Q: When I manually increase CPU host frequency in the BIOS on K7S8X(E), will AGP and PCI speed up at the same time? A: When CPU host frequency is increased, BIOS will automatically run the AGP/PCI frequency around 66/33MHz. Therefore, AGP card and PCI devices can work under SPEC even CPU frequency is set to perform over clocking. 2. Q: Im using ASRock motherboard. In the BIOS, I found that the Vcore is a little bit higher. Is this normal? A: The value is still in tolerance of the CPU SPEC. Its more stable to set the Vcore a little higher under CPU SPEC. Please do not worry about it.
3. Q: How could I use Wake on LAN function? A: All of ASRock motherboards support Wake on LAN. Please enable the PCI Device Power On in the Power menu of BIOS. After saving the changes and exit the BIOS, please boot into the Windows OS then shut down the system. Now, the system is ready to be woken up through LAN by other computers.
4. Q: Im using P4i45PE now. How do I run FSB 800 MHz correctly? A: 1.Please use Intel FSB 800 MHz CPU for your system. 2. Please set FSB jumper in pin 2-3 (Test) 3. Please install one DDR400(PC3200) in slot 1. DDR SDRAM requires CL=2.5 or CL=2. Please also refer to P4i45PE memory support list. http://www.asrock.com/support/memory%20support/P4i45PE_Memory.pdf 5. Q: When Im going to install USB 2.0 driver for my Windows 2000, it asked me to update Service pack 4. Where can I get Service pack 4 for Windows 2000? 6. Q: Can I install 4 DIMM of DDR SDRAM with P4 FSB 533 MHz CPU on P4VX4 motherboard? A: If you are using P4 FSB 533 MHz CPU on P4VX4, please install 3 or less than 3 DIMM of DDR SDRAM. When you install 4 DIMM of DDR SDRAM, they would run at DDR 200(PC1600) speed. According VIA chipset SEPC, FSB 533 MHz CPU must run with DDR 266 or higher speed memory. So if you install 4 DIMM of DDR SDRAM, please run with FSB 400 MHz CPU.
