Software sucks in Windows. The Asus U3100 hardware is probably acceptable. The software that comes with this product really sucks in Windows. SUCKS Inconsistent. Squirreley. Software freezes computer, requiring re-boot. XP OS disagrees with software install instructions.

With rebate, this was extremely inexpensive. It still works just as well as my PCI and PCIe tuners.

There is really an issue with this and maybe all usb tuners. On OTA HDTV you need a very good computer to view and or record live tv. Awaiting full hook-up, but looks good. Attractive Design","Durable","Portable This tuner works great and I really like it but I probably would have tried to find one with a remote.

Before you proceed

Take note of the following precautions before you install the ASUS TV Tuner Card/Box.
Unplug the power cord from the wall socket before touching any component. Use a grounded wrist strap or touch a safely grounded object or a metal object, such as the power supply case, before handling components to avoid damaging them due to static electricity. Hold components by the edges to avoid touching the ICs on them. Keep all components, such as the host adapter, in their antistatic bag until you are ready to install them. Likewise, whenever you uninstall any component, place it on a grounded antistatic pad or in the bag that came with it. Before you install or remove any component, ensure that the ATX power supply is switched off or the power cord is detached from the power supply. Failure to do so may cause severe damage to the motherboard and peripherals.
