Compatibility Testing

The Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Integration Lab tested this family of Deskstar drives for compatibility with a wide variety of systems and operating systems. Testing was performed to demonstrate compatibility with the following hardware and software. Other combinations of hardware and software are expected to function with this product family, but have not been evaluated. This compatibility testing confirms simply that the hard drive was recognized, partitioned and then data was written to and read from it. Drive capacity and interface speed are not verified during compatibility testing. Many factors must be considered in order to take advantage of high-capacity drives (>2.2TB). Some configurations offer a higher likelihood of success.
