The powerful amplifier pushes the element so far that we almost thought it was going to pop out of the cabinet when we played it at the loudest. But it kept standing in place. The compact outer casing might contribute to the level of surprise. Nevertheless, it really sounds great. Youll find control, details, substance, depth and volume. Sub Bravo is an impressive subwoofer. It just sounds right even though it is difficult to put a finger on exactly what it is that makes it so. Almost a bulls eye, according to us.

We dont know how Audio Pro succeeds, but should we choose a winner, it will be the Sub Focus. It combines qualities such as depth, punch and stability. The fine room connection is a nice bonus. And who can say anything about the price.

RECOMMENDED SPEAKER
SWEDEN: Ljud & Bild hemma, no 2, 2004 Compact floorstanders with an especially airy and fine tweeter which makes them brilliant for music reproduction. The supertweeter is used to give the treable a wider frequency range, and it reaches far beyond the human ears hearing. The bass reflex opening is extra long to give the bass a better range and it works very well. You cant count on very deep bass, but on Steely Dans Godwhacker, the bass is heard clearly in the sound image and the small bass elements surprises with fat bass and with dynamic control. This is especially noticable on voices and strings. The only negative side is that soprano voices can sound slightly thin, this is also heard in the highest octave of the piano, but the fine resolution of the treble catches in on this by delivering more room information than we ever heard before from a speaker in this price range. Total: 9 out of 10

SUPER BUDGETWINNER

THE SWEDISH SOUND

DENMARK: High Fidelity, no 8, 2002 It sticks out from the crowd in the cheaper category since they can be used in hometheaters as well as real HiFi-systems. SA-5 is a euphonious speaker that will give you a lot of value for your money. The little lift at the top especially makes classical music airy, fluent and transparent. SA-5 has a nice slim sound with lots of detail.
