I bought this product as a gift and I was told by sears that it was easy to install. That is not true. Great product for the money I bought this product because my car got robbed. I got someone to install it and ever since then i have had no problem with it. I bought this remote starter for my son who leaves for work at 6:30 in the am.

So simple even a cave man can do it ! LOL . Now I can enjoy my Directv & XM on the back porch with out getting up every time.

KEYLESS ENTRY 1. The Lock button on the transmitter is used to lock the vehicle's doors, the Unlock button is used to unlock the vehicle's doors. To lock or unlock the doors simply press and release the desired function button one time. As a keyless entry unit, for your convenience, the parking lights will flash once when the doors are locked and twice when the door are unlocked. REMOTE CAR FINDER The Lock or Unlock buttons are also used to access the car finder mode. This feature is particularly useful in a crowded parking lot where finding your car may be difficult. To access the car finder mode, while within range of your car, simply press and hold either the lock or unlock button of your transmitter for three seconds. The parking lights will begin to flash making your vehicle more visible. The lights will stop automatically after 30 seconds. If you wish to turn off the car finder mode prior to the expiration of the 30 second timer, press and release either the lock or unlock button of your transmitter one time REMOTE TRUNK RELEASE If you have electric trunk release in your vehicle and the remote trunk release option was added to your vehicle, simply press and hold the Key/Trunk button of your keychain transmitter for 4 seconds or until the electric trunk of your vehicle opens. REMOTE STARTING THE VEHICLE This unit will not start the vehicle if any one of the following situations exists; The vehicle's hood lid is opened. The gear shift selector is not in Park. The brake pedal is depressed. The safety control switch is in the Off position. 1. To start the vehicle, press and release the Key/Trunk button two times within 2 seconds. The vehicle will start and remain running for the pre-programmed 5,10,15,20 minute run cycle. As a visual indication, the parking lights will flash or remain on depending on the setting by your installation center. 2. When you arrive at the vehicle, turn the ignition key to the ON position (not the spring loaded start position), then step on the brake pedal to disengage the remote starter. The vehicle will continue to run, but now on it's own power. NOTE: The engine will stop running before the pre-programmed run cycle has expired if you perform any one of the following functions; Press and release Key/Trunk button on the keychain transmitter two times within 2 seconds.-Depress the brake pedal. - Open the vehicle's hood -Place the unit in the safety control disabled mode. PRLED SAFETY CONTROL SWITCH
The Push-Button LED control switch allows you to temporarily disable the remote starting function of the system. This recommended whenever the vehicle is being serviced. To place the system in the service mode: 1) With the system disarmed/unlocked, and the ignition switch off Press and Hold the PRLED on. 2) Turn the ignition switch on, off, on, off, on, off. 3) The LED begins to flash two short flashes followed by one long flashes and continues this pattern until returned to normal mode of operation. This puts the unit into the R/S Override mode indicating that the remote start is in the service mode and will not start from RF or any other input Posse or otherwise. To Exit R/S Override Mode 1) With the system disarmed, Press and Hold the PRLED on. 2) Turn the ignition switch on, off, on, off, on, off. 3) The LED turns off indicating that the R/S unit is fully functional one again. Transmitter Programming Guide Model : APSOE3B4SCF
The transmitters included with the system have been pre-programmed at the factory, with each button pre-assigned to control a specific function of the system. Some systems may have a 3, 4, or 5 channel RECEIVER, depending on the model, the transmitters included with the system are 7 channel transmitters. This allows you to program each transmitter to more than one vehicle in two car families and also allows you to change which button or buttons control certain functions of the system.

PROGRAMMING TRANSMITTERS:
It is important to remember that during programming, each individual step of the procedure must be executed within 15 seconds of the previous step. When the 15 second time limit is allowed to expire, the system will automatically exit program mode. This is indicated by a long "chirp" from the siren. Additionally, any time the ignition key is turned off while programming, the system will immediately exit program mode. This is also indicated by a long "chirp" from the siren.
TO PROGRAM ADDITIONAL TRANSMITTERS:
Some systems may only flash the parking lights to indicate that the transmitter is learned, others may where indicated that the siren will emit a long chirp tone, the optional horn may be connected, in which case neither or either both the horn and siren may sound, 1. (a) Enter the vehicle, and turn the ignition key to the "on" position. 2. (a) Press and release the valet/bypass push button switch 3 times. 3. (a) The dash LED will flash one time and the siren will "chirp" 1 time indicating the system is ready to accept programming for channel 1, Arm, Lock and Panic. 4. (a) You can assign the Lock/Arm button by pressing and holding the lock button until the siren emits a long chirp tone. The chirp tone confirms that programming of channel 1 was successful. Up to 4 transmitters can be programmed, press and hold the selected button of each additional transmitter until the chirp tone is heard, or move to step #5 5. Press and release the valet/override switch one time to advance to channel 2. 6. (a) The dash mounted LED will flash 2 times, and the siren will "chirp" 2 times indicating that the system is ready to accept programming for channel 2. Unlock/2nd Unlock, Disarm, and Panic. Press and hold the Unlock button on your keychain transmitter until the siren emits a long chirp tone. This confirms that programming of channel 2 was successful. Up to 4 transmitters can be programmed, press and hold the selected button of each additional transmitter until the chirp tone is heard. 7. Press and release the valet/override switch one time to advance to channel 3.
8. The dash mounted LED will flash 3 times, and the siren will "chirp" 3 times, indicating that the system is ready to accept programming for channel 3. Remote Start & or Trunk Release Output, (where so equipped). 9. (a) Press and hold the Trunk/Key button on your keychain transmitter until the siren emits a long chirp tone. This confirms that programming of channel 3 was successful. Up to 4 transmitters can be programmed, press and hold the selected button of each additional transmitter until the chirp tone is heard. NOTE: If programming to a Keyless Entry (non alarm) unit, there will be NO chirp indication.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT:

The transmitter incorporates a small red LED built into the case. This LED can be used to indicate battery condition. You will notice a decrease in transmitter range as the battery condition deteriorates. To replace the battery. 1. Remove the transmitter cover by removing the small screw from the back of the transmitter case. 2. Remove the discharged battery, making note of the orientation of the + and -contacts, and dispose of properly. 3. Install the new (type GP27A) battery, taking care to orient the + and - contacts properly. 4. Replace the transmitter cover, taking care not to damage the LED or switches on the circuit board.
