Not very long lived. Bought my 206 last year from a friend who had only used it for a few months. Very good little Camera It works well for the price. Good quality picture and 30 frams per second. Using as a security camera and it has works well.

2 Hardware requirements

2.1 AXIS Camera Station server minimum requirements
Intel Pentium 4, 2 Ghz or higher 1Gb Ram (2 Gb if Windows Vista) 7200 rpm Hard drives with NTFS files system 100 Mbit network adaptor Windows XP Professional SP2, Windows Vista Business or Windows 2003 Server SP2 Microsoft.NET 3.5
AXIS Camera Station Client minimum requirements
Intel Pentium 4, 2 Ghz or higher 1 Gb Ram (2 Gb if Windows Vista) 100 Mbit network adaptor
Rev: 1.1, Last updated: 31/03/2008
Windows XP Professional (SP2) or Windows Vista Business XVGA (1024x768) graphics card with 256 Mb memory and DirectX 9.0c compliant Microsoft.NET 3.5 and Microsoft Media Player 11
We recommend not to record from more that 8-10 cameras in to one hard drive (Motion-jpeg,S-ATA & 7.200 RPM) and configure AXIS Camera Station so that there always is at least 10-20% free space on the hard drives. If mpg4 recording is used, up to 15 cameras can be use for each hard drive due to the lower amount of data streamed. We have made some suggested recommendations for a 15 and 50 camera solution. The recommendations are based on recording and live viewing in full frame rate at 640x480 resolution in mpg4.
Recommendations for a 15-camera server solution
Intel DualCore processor (2 Ghz or higher) 2 GB Ram 100 Mbit network adaptor 2 x 7200 rpm Hard drives with NTFS files system Windows XP Professional SP2 or Windows Vista Business XVGA (1024x768) graphics card with 256 Mb memory and DirectX 9.0c compliant Microsoft.NET 3.5 and Microsoft Media Player 11
Recommendations for a 50-camera server solution
Intel Xeon Quad processor 2 GB Ram 1 Gbit network adaptor 4 x 7200 rpm Hard drives with NTFS files system Windows XP Professional SP2 or Windows Vista Business XVGA (1024x768) graphics card with 512 Mb memory and DirectX 9.0c compliant Microsoft.NET 3.5 and Microsoft Media Player 11
3 Upgrading from 2.xx to 3.0
Before you upgrade, please ensure that your PC meets the hardware requirements for AXIS Camera Station 3.0 and check that you license keys are current and that you have the necessary support licenses that allow you to download and install the latest versions.
AXIS Camera Station 3.0 will not upgrade from 2.xx, but simply install a new program in parallel to AXIS Camera Station 2.xx. Both the 2.xx and 3.0 versions will be able to run in parallel, although not recommended. If you for some reason want to downgrade to 2.xx, you simply uninstall AXIS Camera Station 3.0 and use the old AXIS Camera Station version. No configuration or recordings are converted from AXIS Camera Station 2.xx to 3.0. You will have to configure your cameras in 3.0 again. If you want to view recordings made before the upgrade, you have to open the 2.xx program and view the old recordings from here. When the upgrade is made, AXIS Camera Station will use the license keys from your current AXIS Camera Station 2.xx installation. If the licenses keys are not valid for upgrade the installation process will be aborted. Before installing AXIS Camera Station 3.0 please check that your drivers for network adaptors and graphics adaptors are the latest available. Before installing AXIS Camera Station 3.0 you will need to install Microsoft.NET 3.5 and Microsoft Media Player version 11. The.NET version 3.5 installation file is available on the AXIS Camera Station CD-rom, but due to license limitations we cant redistribute Windows Media Player. So if your Pc is not Internet connected, please download the Media Player from here http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia and install this on the target PC before installing AXIS Camera Station. A new way of streaming live images is implemented in AXIS Camera Station 3.0 the will allow the AXIS Camera Station client to access the live images without having direct access to the cameras as in previous versions. So in version 3.0 you dont have to specify WAN IP addresses and there is no need for port forwarding made in your firewall for each individual camera. The AXIS Camera Station client will now communicate with the server on TCP port 55752 & 55753 by default. This can be changed in the server administration. If you are using the AXIS Camera Station client in version 2.11 you should now change the port 11007 to 55752 & 55753 to make the AXIS Camera Station 3.0 client work.
