When you use the unit for the first time, you may notice a little steam and a particular odour: this is common and will disappear the next time you use the unit. Plug the i curl in and press the I button. Select the desired temperature using the temperature selector. It is generally recommended that you use a low temperature for fine, bleached or sensitised hair, and a high temperature for curly, thick and/ or difficult to style hair. Every hair type being different, we recommend that you use the position the first time you use the unit. Gradually increase the temperature over the next few uses if necessary. Use the table below for reference. The first two temperatures are ideal for curling hair, 230C is intended for straightening only.

The red LED will flash until it has reached the desired temperature, it will then remain lit while the unit is in use. Note! When you use the unit, you may hear some sizzling and notice a little steam. This is normal and may result from the evaporation of sebum, residual hair products (leave-in care, hair spray, etc.) or from excess water that is evaporating from your hair. The curved plates release a cool shot that will set the curl. emove the i curl and use your R fingers to twist the section again so that it takes its natural position. If your hair is healthy, set the unit at the ideal temperature for straightening, 230C. Otherwise, select a lower temperature. eparate your hair into sections. S Clip the upper sections to the top of your head so that you can work with the sections underneath. ake up a section about 2 to 3cm T wide and place it between the 2 heating plates, near the roots of your hair. ress the straightener handles, hold P firmly to keep the section and slide the unit slowly down the section from roots to tips. ake up a new section and continue T in this way until all your hair is straightened. epeat if necessary, then release R the straighteners. omplete the style with a finishing C touch. You may wish to set the straightening using a light misting of hairspray. To shape your hair The BaByliss i curl can also be used to accent certain sections (fringe, flip, etc.) and lift the roots. 9
o lift the roots, take up a section T and hold it vertically from your scalp. Then place the unit as closely as possible to the roots, close the plates on the section and rotate the unit toward the front to give as much volume to the roots as possible. Hold for a few seconds, then slowly straighten from the roots to the tips. o shape your hair with the T tips pointing under, follow the instructions above but turn the unit under (as you would a brush when blow-drying). Hold in place for a few seconds and release. o turn the points outwards, follow T the same steps but turn in the other direction. fter use, press the O button and A unplug the unit. llow the unit to cool on the heatA resistant mat provided for this. Automatic shut off If the straightener remains on for over 1hr, it turns off automatically. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF YOUR STRAIGHTENER nplug the unit and allow it to cool U completely. lean the plates using a soft, damp C cloth, without detergent, to preserve the optimal quality of the plates. Do not scratch the plates. tore the straighteners with the S plates pressed together to protect them.
