Discard the complete packing material after unpacking the device. Place the device on top of an even and safe surface which supports the weight of the device. Not at any time should you place the device on an inflammable surface (such as: table cloth, carpet, etc.). You must not position the device near open fireplaces, electric ovens/arc furnaces, furnaces/electric heaters or other heat sources. Place the device at a safe distance to children. Make sure there is a minimum distance of 15 cm between the wall and the back and the sides of the device, in order to provide sufficient air circulation. You must not block the ventilation slots. Wait at least one hour until the refrigerant has settled. Connect the device to a socket only afterwards. The electrical circuit in the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect the device directly to the wall socket; do not use any extension cords or power strips. 5.3 Operating
Before first use, clean all removable parts (stirring staff, lid, ice cream container) with warm water and a mild detergent. Dry all parts afterwards. Clean the engine and the housing of the device with a soft, damp cloth. Fill the removable ice cream container with the favored ice cream ingredients.

ATTENTION!

Ice cream container must not be filled more than halfway! During the final minutes of ice cream preparation the increasing volume of the ice cream fills up the container.
You should always fill the ice cream container with cooled ingredients and never with hot ingredients! Place the ice cream container into the cooling cylinder. Place the stirring staff into the ice cream container. Mount the lid safely on to the housing, so that it snaps into the provided fixations. Now install the engine so that it is connected with the stirring staff and the connector of the housing. Close the filling port of the lid with provided cover. Connect the device to an appropriate single power socket. The red control lamp flashes up. Engage the device using the ON/OFF switch The display shows the preset time of 50 minutes. The frigistor is engaged automatically after 2-3 minutes and starts cooling the ingredients in the ice cream container. The green control lamp flashes up. The stirring staff is automatically set into motion after 7 minutes. You may also manually engage it before by using the mix switch. By selecting the timer clock setting to 30, 15 or 5 minutes. on the control panel you may change the time on the control panel.

The preparation time for ice cream is approx. 50-60 minutes. During ice cream preparation, according to your taste, you may add e. g. fruits, chocolate chips, raisins, nuts, almonds etc. through the filling port of the lid. When the set time is reached a signal tone resounds and the device switches off the engine automatically. The frigistor continues operation for another 70 minutes until the cooling finally shuts off. After approx. minutes the cooling will be reengaged automatically.

- 26 -

If the mixer disengages sooner than the set time, manually disconnect the unit. The ice making process is then finished. Disconnect the device from the socket (pull the power plug!) and remove engine, lid and stirring staff from the ice cream container. Remove the ice cream container from the cooling cylinder and fill the ice cream into an appropriate container or an ice cream cup.
Remember to use a plastic or wooden spoon only when removing the ice cream in order to avoid damages of the ice cream container! The ready fixed ice cream may remain in the ice cream maker for minutes, while the stirring staff should be switched off. You may work the ice cream before serving until it has the desired consistency. After the ice cream has been removed from the ice cream container and the container has reached room/ambient temperature, it may be cleaned with warm water and a soft cloth. You may store the frozen ice cream in a container for some time but it will lose taste and quality after longer storage. After approx. 1-2 weeks the ice cream loses structure and freshness. Store the ice cream at a minimum temperature of 12 C. Mark the date of preparation and label the flavor name on the container.
Ice cream is susceptible to bacteria. Therefore the ice cream maker and the storage containers must be kept absolutely clean and dry. Do not refreeze melted or partly frozen ice cream! Approximately 20 minutes before serving the ice cream, take it out of the freezer and put the container into the refrigerator for 10 minutes. The ice cream may as well be stored at room/ambient temperature for 10 to 15 minutes in order to reach the appropriate temperature for consumption.

Always cool the ingredients. For better results in ice cream preparation we recommend that you beat the eggs and sugar with an electric blender prior to preparation, in order to increase the volume of the ice cream. Most of the recipes consist of cream, milk, eggs and sugar. You may use any cream you desire. Taste and consistency of the ice cream very much depend on the chosen ingredients: the more fat content, the firmer the ice cream. A heavy cream contains at least 36% fat, light cream contains 10-18% fat. Try to use a constant amount of liquid every time, e. g.: the lightest ice cream can be produced by using more milk than cream or milk only. You may as well use low fat milk although that affects the consistency of the ice cream. The Sorbets taste very much depends on the ripeness and sweetness of the fruits and the juice. Taste the fruits before using them as ingredients. If they are too sour, add some sugar, if they are very ripe instead, add little sugar or none at all. Please note, that cold reduces sweetness. In order to sweeten the ice cream during the preparation/production process, do not add the sugar or sweetener directly into the ice cream container (it will not dissolve). Instead dissolve the sugar in a bit of water or low-fat milk and pour the syrup (cooled) into the ice cream container. When using fruits in the recipe, they must always be washed and dried before preparation pulses always must be shelled and pitted. Fix a separate mix with these ingredients using a blender before adding them to the ice cream. When using eggs, make sure they are fresh. Many recipes refer to cooking, so prepare them a day before preparation, in order to ensure they are cold.
