Sophisticated design and realistic 3D display keep drivers in charge The new navigation systems have significantly upgraded the design and materials of their multiple award-winning predecessors Z 203 and Z 205. Their appearance now features classic modern understated style, making these systems eye-catchers in any car. Both units have sleek, touchable lines and frames in high-gloss titanium finish combined with ultra-robust rubberized body. The Z 215 has an additional stylish chrome frame.

The glare-free TFT touchscreen, around 11 cm in size, provides
clarity and orientation with realistic 3D displays for tourist sights, towns and surrounding areas. Ascending and descending gradients and landscape landmarks are visible well in advance to simplify naviga1/4

In addition, both units display major warning and traffic signs on major roads at an early stage and deliver warnings of potentially hazardous traffic situations including acoustic warning if desired. Their realistic display of motorway intersections and major junctions also simplifies orientation for the driver. The detailed lane guide with zoom function ensures that drivers keep a clear overview even in complex situations and are guided to the correct exit. With the Becker Traffic Assist, foresighted, responsible driving is child's play. Universal Active Cradle smoothing the start of the journey It's not only Traffic Assist's rapid route calculation that smoothes the start of any journey. With the new Active Cradle, setting up and removing the unit is quite simple. In this universal mounting system, all cables are connected directly to the Active Cradle far simpler than plugging and unplugging cables on the unit itself. All the driver has to do when leaving the car is to click the navigation system out of the Active Cradle and take it along. The charger cable of the new systems has

also been improved. Outstanding reception is now guaranteed by a separate TMC antenna which runs next to the charger cable; both are connected to the holder by a joint mini-USB connector. When traffic information reception is poor, the driver can detach the TMC antenna from the charger cable and extend it along the windscreen like a dipole antenna. When this external antenna is not required, it can be neatly attached to the charger cable once again a tidy and convenient solution. Safety on the road with Bluetooth and Becker OneShot voice control Becker's premium navigation systems not only guide users to their destinations on the fastest route, but even make sure that they observe traffic laws. Thanks to the Bluetooth function with handsfree operation, when drivers take an incoming phone call their hands stay where they belong on the wheel! Not only for incoming calls, but also provided the driver's mobile phone supports the function for incoming text messages with the text-to-speech function. Like its multiple award-winning predecessor, the Z 205, the Becker Traffic Assist Z 215 also features the proven Becker OneShot voice control system. NAVTEQ TrafficPatterns and Becker Economic Route Guidance Making driving straightforward by always choosing the optimum route In addition to the option of manually blocking specific roads or route sections in the navigation system permanently or for a specific period, the efficient congestion forecast function NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns uses historical traffic data to calculate the best route for a specific day and time. In addition, both models feature the TMC traffic congestion warning system as standard, and the Z 215 even offers premium TMC services (including TMC Pro) for the whole of Europe. And since today sustainability is an increasingly hot topic, Becker's new systems also feature Becker Economical Route Guidance, a function per-
fected after years of testing in cooperation the automobile industry, which automatically calculates the most economical route by balancing travel time with fuel consumption. Prices, features, accessories and availability there's so much more Both new Becker PNDs make flawless navigation available to every driver. The Z 213 and Z 215 are supplied with the new highly stable active windscreen mount, a 12V/24V car charger cable with TMC antenna and a Content Manager DVD with maps. Both systems also have a mini-USB port, headphone socket and Micro SD slot. Optional extras include a special cable set which makes installing the unit in a vehicle even simpler. When the Traffic Assist is plugged into the Active Cradle, a single cable is all that's needed to connect the sound output and telephone muting settings for the Bluetooth handsfree system with the vehicle's audio system. The same cable set also includes a connection for the external microphone supplied with the set, which can be individually positioned and aligned to further optimize voice quality. Becker myXtras and the Becker Content Manager software supplied with the units enable additional maps to be downloaded for both units as they are needed a simple process thanks to the units' huge 4GByte memory. And customers who register early can take advantage of a free update for European maps within the first 45 days after first using their navigation system. Speed camera data from the Becker Online Shop free of charge
Driving as a safe and relaxing experience - and a costeffective one, too: Becker is offering Speed Camera Warning1) as free download from its online shop until end of April 2011. This clever buddy helps drivers identifying speed limits on time and risks in advance. The displayed warnings are visual and acoustic ones, but can be modified to suit preferences.
The Speed Camera Warning comprises speed camera data encompassing more than 22,000 fixed speed cameras in 20 European countries. Regular updates of the speed camera data ensure that the data is right up to speed. Speed camera warnings can be obtained free of charge from the Becker Online Shop until 30th of April 2011. Get the speed cam data now simply register once in the Becker Online Shop and then order the download article2) at Maps and Extras. But once caught on a camera, Becker does not accept any liability1) Users have to actively opt to use this feature and then activate it themselves. In the software, it is initially deactivated after downloading. Speed Camera Warning is available for Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia, Spain and the Czech Republic.
