The WD 425E is an automatic washing and disinfecting machine which fulls the hygiene requirements in exible endoscope reprocessing. The washer-disinfector is the result of many years of experience in proper automated endoscope cleaning.
The machine will thoroughly wash and disinfect most types of exible endoscopes. Close cooperation with the German Working Group for Endoscopes enabled us to integrate their standards in our machine.

High performance washing system Precision engineering combined with years of testing both in the laboratory and under actual operating conditions, led the WD 425E washing system to top performance levels. The heart of the system is an exceptionally efcient wash pump which is adaptable to individual cleaning processes. The successful Belimed washing system is further characterized by an improved and optimally functioning water channel design combined with an indispensable water release and dispersion system. The intricate channel system in an endoscope is effectively ushed by an electronically controlled overpressure. A nal rinse cycle with thermally disinfected DI-water following chemothermal disinfection prevents recontamination of the endoscopes. Commitment to quality The Belimed quality system is certied according to EN ISO 13485:2003. The WD 425E fulls all requirements according to the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC and bears the CE 0044 mark.
Wide range of application The patented pressure box system ensures an easy and exible reprocessing of exible endoscopes. Two exible endoscopes from different manufactures can be cleaned simultaneously. Endoscopes with special geometries, including ultrasonic endoscopes or bronchoscopes, can be easily loaded into the machine.
Operable as dual-function machine with thermal disinfection Thanks to the optional rack coding system, the WD 425E not only cleans and disinfects exible endoscopes, but also thermally disinfects instruments and utensils used in the operating room. A large assortment of loading accessories allows the optimum treatment of instruments from the orthopaedic, anaesthesia, ENT and other specialized areas.

Reliable process control

Operating safety and reliability play an important role in the design of the WD 425E. Every detail demonstrates customer needs and process requirements.
Easy operation The simple operation of the WD 425E is trailblazing. The endoscopes are inserted by a single move and the washing and disinfecting programs are initiated by pushing one button only. The operation is fully automatic whereas the operator can observe all the steps and the functions on the clear dual-line display. Smart control system The parameters of the wash programs are freely programmable. 12 independent programs can be installed to cover a wide variety of applications. A modern control system ensures correct program sequences. Any deviations from prescribed settings or other irregularities are displayed immediately. Critical situations which could lead to malfunctions are recognized well in advance. Status messages are saved in memory for later inspection by a service technician. The need for preventive maintenance is displayed punctually. An optional modem offers remote access for fast and efcient diagnosis and technical support.

Two additional RS 232 interfaces enable the application of barcode reader and printer to assure proper identication of the endoscopes during the entire circular ow. An optional built in printer allows an easy and efcient batch documentation.

Relevant data such as batch time, program status, temperature and remaining run time is displayed on the easy-readoff machine display.
Cost-effective and short cycle times
Our systems use less water, less energy and less chemicals. We pay particular attention to achieving cleaning and disinfection with minimal utility consumption and cycle times.
The WD 425E reects a major technical breakthrough both ecologically and economically. Reduced water and energy consumption The proven dynamic washing system controls washing performance and optimal water quantity for each specic machine program and minimizes energy consumption. Less chemical additives The proper concentration of chemical additives is vital to achieve good washing results. Less water consumption means less chemical additives are needed. Due to modern technology, there is no underdose or overdose. Shorter washing/reprocessing cycles Optimal program cycles result in shorter processing times.
