F5D7630 Modem Router | XBox 360
Compatibility between Belkins ADSL Modem with Built-In Wireless Router (F5D7630) and the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter
Despite extensive testing, Belkin has been unable to wirelessly connect the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter to our ADSL Modem with Built-In Wireless Router. The Microsoft Adapter uses a WPA-PSK protocol that was neither supported nor available when this F5D7630 Modem Router was manufactured. In order to use the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter with any wireless router, you must ensure that the wireless router supports WPA security protocol.
Please note: The Xbox 360 can connect to the Belkin F5D7630 Modem Router via the Ethernet port on both devices. Simply connect one end of an Ethernet cable into the Xbox 360s port and the other end into an available port (labeled 1 through 4) on the back of the F5D7630 Modem Router.
Belkin offers other Wireless Routers that are compatible with the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter. These are the ADSL Modem with Wireless Pre-N Router (F5D8630-4), Wireless Pre-N Router (F5D8230-4), ADSL2+ Modem with High-Speed Mode Wireless G Router (F5D7633xx4), and Wireless G Plus Router (F5D7231-4).
The incompatibility issue between the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter and the F5D7630 Modem Router does not constitute a fault in our Router. For a wireless connection between the Xbox 360 and the F5D7630 Modem Router, please consider purchasing the Belkin Wireless G Gaming Adapter (F5D7330), which is fully tested and approved by Belkin.
