I cannot send SMS text messages

Undo an AutoText change

To insert a period, press the Space key twice. The next letter is capitalized. To capitalize a letter, hold the letter key until the capitalized letter appears. To type the alternate character on a key, press the Alt key and the character key. To type an accented or special character, hold the letter key and roll the trackball to the left or right. For example, to type , hold U and roll the trackball to the left until appears. Release the letter key when the accented or special character appears. To type a number in a number field, press a number key. You do not need to press the Alt key. To type a number in a password field, hold the Alt key and press the number key. To turn on NUM lock, press the Alt key and the Left Shift key. To turn on CAP lock, press the Alt key and the Right Shift key. To turn off NUM lock or CAP lock, press the Shift key.

Manage email reconciliation conflicts

About backing up and restoring device data
If you have installed the BlackBerry Desktop Software on your computer, you can back up and restore most of your BlackBerry device data, including messages, organizer data, fonts, saved searches, and browser bookmarks using the backup and restore tool of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. If your device is associated with an email account that uses a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, you might be able to restore synchronized organizer data to your device over the wireless network. Wireless data restoration prerequisites

In the media application, you can open media files, such as videos, ring tones, pictures, or songs, that are stored in media folders in the BlackBerry device memory or on a media card that you have inserted into your device. Some preloaded media files, including Home screen background pictures and ring tones, might be available in a Preloaded Media folder on your device.

Media file management

About transferring media files
You can use Bluetooth technology to send media files to or receive media files from a Bluetooth enabled device, or you can connect your BlackBerry device to your computer to transfer files between your device and your computer. If you connect your device to your computer, you can transfer files between your media card and your computer using mass storage mode, or you can transfer media files between your device and your computer using the media manager tool of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. See the BlackBerry Desktop Software Online Help for more information about using the media manager tool. If you turn on media card encryption and you transfer files to your media card using mass storage mode or Bluetooth technology, your device does not encrypt the transferred files. If you transfer encrypted files from your media card using mass storage mode or Bluetooth technology, you cannot decrypt the files on your computer or on a Bluetooth enabled device.

Delete a memo

About the alarm
In the BlackBerry device alarm, you can set a time for a daily alarm to sound. You can also set the alarm to sound on weekends, set a snooze time for the alarm, and adjust the alarm volume. If you turn off your device by pressing the Power button, or by clicking Turn Power Off and selecting Turn Off, the alarm should sound at the correct time even if the device is off.

About Bluetooth technology
Bluetooth technology is designed to enable you to establish a wireless connection between your BlackBerry device and a Bluetooth enabled device, such as a handsfree car kit or wireless headset. After you pair your BlackBerry device with a Bluetooth enabled device, you can connect to that Bluetooth enabled device when the device is within range of your BlackBerry device (a typical range is approximately 10 meters). When you turn on Bluetooth technology or when you connect your BlackBerry device to another Bluetooth enabled device, Bluetooth icons appear in the device status section of the screen. See the printed documentation that came with your BlackBerry device for more information about Bluetooth icons.
Turn on Bluetooth technology

Pair with a Bluetooth enabled device

Delete a group

You must move your contacts out of a group before you can delete that group. 1. In BlackBerry Messenger, highlight a group. 2. Press the Menu key. 3. Click Delete Group. Note: There must be at least one group in your BlackBerry Messenger contact list; you cannot delete the last remaining group in your contact list.

Turn off a wireless connection

I cannot connect to a wireless network
Try performing the following actions: Verify that your SIM card is inserted in your BlackBerry device correctly. Verify that you have turned on the connection to the wireless network. Verify that you are connected to your wireless service provider's network. If you switched wireless networks manually, your device remains connected to that wireless network until you select your wireless service provider's network again.

If you want the device to turn on again at the specified time or for alarm or calendar reminders, click Turn Off.
