I, like other reviewers was terribly disappointed in this machine. Like another reviewer. After being so happy with my Bosch dishwasher, I bought a Bosch front load washer and matching dryer. I LOVE THEM. They are now almost 5 years old.

To avoid danger of electrical shock, make sure the washer is unplugged before changing any electrical connections!

IMPORTANT:

When reselling any WFL2060 or WFR2460 washers from display floors, replace the white (or gray) drain pump connector so washers will run properly and replace the shipping bolts so washers wont be damaged during shipment.
SALES DEMO MODE PROCEDURE: Preparing WFR2460 washers for display involves removing three shipping bolts and disconnecting the drain pump. To set up WFR2460 washers for display: Conversion: Make sure the washer is unplugged and is not connected to any water lines. 1. Remove the three shipping bolts from the washer back panel, removing the top bolt last. Each bolt has an insert wedging up to the inside of the back panel. When removing bolts, loosen them, then move them (up, left or right) until they slide out the large circular holes (matching the insert sizes). Dont unscrew shipping bolts completely so inserts wont drop into the washer base. After removing bolts, cover the holes with white caps included with the washer. 2. To access the white (or gray) drain pump connector from the back of the washer, remove the back panel by removing (7) T-20 & (4) T-30 Torx screws. Pull the white (or gray) drain pump connector to remove it, then secure the loose connector away from the frame or any washer parts with electrical tape (to avoid possibility of electrical shock). 3. Replace the back panel, then attach the fuscia label to the rear of the washer so its visible.
Power hook-up: Plug the washer into a 120V/240V transformer, then plug the transformer into a 120V, 15A power outlet. Using demo mode: Rotate the cycle selector knob to the Spin position and then push the Start button to perform a complete spin cycle. To interrupt the spin cycle, push the Start/Pause button.
HINT: Before starting, make sure you have the following: B 120V/240V transformer Fuscia demo mode label (IMPORTANT) Access to 120V, 15A, 60Hz electrical outlet T-20 & T-30 Torx screwdrivers Electrical tape

HINT: After removing crossbar screws, remove crossbars by rotating bottom of them out from washer. HINT: Before disconnecting wire harnesses from control module, mark each one to insure proper reassembly (as several connectors look identical).
HINT: To access wire harness connectors to disassemble them, separate control module from fascia panel by carefully prying back plastic clips around the module.
HINT: Unscrew band screws and remove band from front counterweight.
HINT: Loosen spring clamps and disconnect hoses from dispenser.
Disassembly -- Drum (5), Outer Drum (Tub)
HINT: When installing outer drum bolts, screw them in by hand
onto the first thread. Do not overtighten or cross-thread them.
NOTE: WFL 2060 drums use a separate gasket with bolts kit # 265964. WFR 2460 drums have the gasket and bolts included with front drum # 238410 (where the gasket and bolts arent provided separately).
HINT: WFL 2060 & WFR 2460 outer drums (tubs) are made by different
vendors and cant be interchanged. Both WFR 2460 front and rear outer drums should be replaced at the same time (if one needs to be replaced).
Disassembly -- Drum (6), Rear Bearing
HINT: When installing rear bearings
for WFR 2460 models, replace the front outer drum with gasket and bolts as well. When installing outer drum bolts, screw them in by hand onto the first thread. Do not overtighten or cross-thread them.

Test parts individually as follows:
Motor To start test, rotate cycle selector knob to Regular/Cotton Hot (not through Off position), then push Start button. To end test,
rotate cycle selector knob out of Regular/Cotton Hot position or rotate spin speed knob. During test, motor turns drum counterclockwise for 6 seconds (@ 50 RPM), pauses for 2 seconds & turns drum clockwise for 4 seconds. Drain pump comes on while drum is checked for imbalance and motor turns drum clockwise gradually to top speed, slows it down and stops it (Rinse/Spin light turns off when max. speed reached). Test ends automatically after ~ 3 minutes.
Drain pump To start test, rotate cycle selector knob to Temp Boost (not through Off position), then push Start button. To end test, push
Start button again (since test doesnt end). Drain pump runs -- listen for drain pump running or look for water draining from washer.
Heater To start test, rotate cycle selector knob to Power Temp Boost (not through Off position), then push Start button. To end test,
push Start button again (since test doesnt end quickly). Water fills to water level 1 (heating level) and is heated to maximum temperature. To save time, measure current draw into washer (over black wire to surge protector) after water has completely filled -- if ~ 7A, then heater has come on and is heating normally.
HINT: Water doesnt automatically drain for water filling tests such as heater, hot water valve and all dual cold water valve tests. Door locked Use drain pump test to drain water before running next test.To save time running water valve tests (since water doesnt stop filling), Rinse/Spin Wash do visual check of water filling into dispenser, then push Start button to end test. Hot water valve To start test, rotate cycle selector knob to Spin (not through Off position), then push Start button. Water. To end test,
push Start button again (since water doesnt stop filling). Do visual check by pulling dispenser door slightly (to avoid splashing) to view water flowing into left side of dispenser.
Dual cold water valve (Pre-wash & Wash) To start test, rotate cycle selector knob to Soak (not through Off position), then push

NOTE: Fault displayed will be 1st fault that occurred since last time washer was turned on.
NOTE: Do not push Start button (or Rinse Plus & Quick Wash buttons) within 5 seconds of rotating cycle selector knob to Power Temp Boost position while selecting comprehensive test program or while test is restarting. If so, individual part (component) test program will begin -- use Start button to manually advance through each step. 1st Edition/Revision 5 (1/20/04)

Typical stains - Skin fat, cooking oils/fat, sauces, mineral oil, wax (containing fat/oil). Tea, coffee, red wine, fruit, vegetables (bleachable). Blood, egg, milk, starch (containing protein/ carbohydrate). Soot, soil, sand (pigments), red sand on tennis clothes.
Do not wash clothes in washing machine if the care label says "Do Not Wash" or the DO NOT WASH symbol - is on the care label.
Removing stains If possible, remove/pretreat stains while they are still fresh. First, dab soapy water onto the stain. Do not rub. Subsequently wash the items of clothing using the appropriate program. Sometimes several washing cycles may be required in order to remove persistent/dried in stains.

Loading the laundry

RISK OF EXPLOSION!
q Do not exceed the maximum load: Overloading will cause poor wash results and encourage creasing. For best results it is recommended to load the drum depending on the fabric type: Full Load Load
Items of clothing that have been pretreated with solventbased cleaning agents, e.g. stain remover and dry cleaning spirit, represent an explosion hazard once loaded into the washing machine. Therefore, these items must first be rinsed thoroughly by hand.
Cotton and Linens Permanent Press, Synthetic Blends and Poly Knits Wool, Delicates, Silk
Loose debris in the washing machine drum can damage the laundry. Before loading the laundry, check that there is no debris in the drum.
q Close the loading door. Make sure not to trap any items of clothing between the loading door and rubber seal.

q Open the loading door.

q Unfold the sorted items of clothing and place them loosely into the drum. Mix up large and small items. Items of varying size will distribute better during the spin cycle. 11
Laundry Detergents and Additives
Dispensing the correct amount of detergent
Too much detergent: Environmentally incompatible, excessive foam reduces wash agitation which causes poor washing and rinsing results.
Filling laundry detergent and/or additive dispensers

RISK OF POISONING!

Keep detergents and additives out of the reach of children. Measure out the detergent according to: the water hardness. This information can be obtained from your local water authority. the amount of laundry. the amount of soil. Information on soiling can be found on page 9. the specifications of the detergent manufac turer. Measure out the correct amount of deter gent relieves the strain on the environment and ensures optimum washing results. Dispenser I: Detergent for soaking agent. Dispenser II: Detergent for wash, stain remover. Dispenser 2: Cleaning product, e.g. fabric softener, fabric conditioner (fill at least to lower edge of insert 1). i Concentrated or thick fabric softener and con ditioner must be diluted with a little water be fore being poured into the dispenser (prevents overflow as a result of obstruction). q Pull out the detergent dispenser up to the final stop. q Add the detergent and/or additive. q Close the detergent dispenser.
i DO NOT use chlorine bleach in this washing machine. q If it is necessary to use a detergent made for top loading washing machines, to avoid over sudsing, it is recommended that only to (approx. 2-3 Tbl.) of the amount recom mended by the detergent manufacturer for top loading washing machines be used. Using this smaller amount may effect the cleaning perfo mance. The first time, start with of the rec ommended amount. Then, only if there is a low level of sudsing and your clothes are not getting clean, try a little more. q Pour liquid detergent into the appropriate dis pensing chamber. Too little detergent: The laundry is not cleaned properly and will, after a while, become grey and stiff. Greyish brown spots (fat globules) may appear on the laundry. The heaters may calcify.

Load adjust Load adjust" matches the water and power con sumption to each program - according to the amount of laundry and type of fabrics. Therefore water and energy consumption are reduced when washing small amounts of laundry. The flow sensor measures the water flow rate like an internal water gauge and meters the exact volume of water required for the amount of laundry. The stepless water level sensor ensures that the water level is correct in each program for washing your laundry - from our economical Regular/ Cotton" programs to the gentle Delicates/Silk" and Wool" cycles. Unbalanced load detection system The automatic unbalanced load detection system spins the laundry several times to ensure even distribution. If the wash load is unevenly distributed, it is not spun for reasons of safety or the end speed is reduced. In the woolens program the appliance attempts to start the spin cycle only twice in order to prevent laundry from shrinking.
