This series of disks from Seagate are reliable, quiet and suitable for personal and business use. Good balance for the price. Buffer size.

This thing is a piece of work. I had this for only a little over a year. Incredible difficult to configure. The MioNet web interface is terrible.

Good choice to have for a laptop, upgraded an old Hitachi Deskstar for this drive, and great difference in speed. Somewhat Satisfied After two years, this drive finally went South on me. I wish hard drives were not so short lived. I guess two years is not so bad.

I got this drive to replace a slow 5400 rpm Seagate drive and is amazed at the screaming performance and its quietness. Garbage item Only used about one month and it was broken. I had to back up data, reinstall OS and exchange the item with WD. excellent item for the most part, ease of installation was my issue. inexperience with unformatted.

Bose 802 Series II Loudspeaker

General Description

The Bose 802 Series II sound components provide a fully modular system designed for high quality reinforcement of voice and music. Bose 802 Series II loudspeakers work with the 802C Series II systems controller for active equalization of the system. The 802 Series II loudspeaker is preferred for applications requiring a rugged, portable enclosure, but can be used in permanent indoor sound system installations. The 802C Series II systems controller assures smooth, accurate spectral response across the entire operating range of the 802 Series II loudspeaker. Sharp subsonic and ultrasonic band-limiting filters reduce power waste, stage noise, high-frequency instability, and interference. The systems controller also provides two independent signal channels.

Component Description

Each 802 Series II loudspeaker uses eight 412" full-range drivers mounted in symmetric vertical pairs on a faceted Articulated Array baffle assembly. The drivers feature low-impedance, edge-wound aluminum voice coils, 12-ounce Ferrite V ceramic magnets, and molded polyester frames. Their advanced cone and motor system give them high linear excursion capability and power output.
Tuned reactive air columns reduce distortion by controlling the cone excursion required to reproduce deep bass frequencies. A built-in directivity control circuit maintains the vertical dispersion pattern through the high-frequency range. It also protects the drivers from high-frequency overload. The 802C Series II systems controller is a single-rack sized device. It is capable of providing crossover functions, active electronic equalization, and dual channel signal processing for both the 802 Series II loudspeakers and the 502 B or 502BP Acoustimass enclosure. It features -10/+4dB-V input sensitivity switches, all-balanced inputs and outputs, -18/+3dB bass level control, and a bass mono sum switch. It also provides automatic output muting on turn-off, and a secure rear-panel operating mode switch.

Each system is designed for high quality reinforcement of voice and music. This practical bass component works with either the 502C, 402C, or 802C Series II systems controller for active equalization of the system. The 502BP enclosure is preferred in applications requiring a rugged, portable enclosure. The 502B enclosure is intended for use in installed applications. Acoustic properties of the 502B and 502BP Acoustimass enclosures are identical. The 502C, 402C, or 802C series II systems controller assures smooth, accurate spectral response across each 502B/502BP loudspeakers entire operating range. Sharp band-limiting filters reduce power waste, stage noise, high-frequency instability, and interference. The systems controller also provides two independent signal channels. The 502BP enclosure features shock-resistant edge and corner protectors for added durability. Slots located along the pads provide interlock stability for stacking. The 502BP enclosure is finished in black scratch-resistant vinyl, which can be painted. The Bose 502C, 402C, and the 802C series II systems controllers are all single rack sized devices. Each can provide crossover functions, active electronic equalization, and dual channel signal processing for the 502B or 502BP enclosure in combination with either the Bose 502A, 402, or 802 Series II loudspeakers. Each systems controller features -10/+4 dB-V input sensitivity switches, all-balanced inputs and outputs, -18/+3 dB bass level control, and a bass mono sum switch. It also provides automatic output muting on turn-on, and a secure rear-panel operating mode switch.
COMPONENT DESCRIPTION Each Acoustimass enclosure uses a single high power-handling, high reliability 30 cm (12") woofer. This low-frequency transducer features a high temperature 10.2 cm (4") voice coil, cast aluminum basket, and a highly reliable rubber surround. Both 502 and 502BP enclosures provide clear, deep bass reinforcement from a small enclosure, as a result of Bose-patented Acoustimass technology. The low crossover frequency makes the enclosure a nonlocalizable sound source, allowing it to be placed unobtrusively apart from the rest of the sound system. The 502B enclosure is fitted with 10 times safety-rated attachment points (top and bottom) for mounting in a variety of orientations. Two-point suspension is easy to accomplish using the Bose CSB-5B suspension bracket. The 502B enclosure is available in both professional gray and arctic white scratch-resistant vinyl, which can be painted to match any decor. FIGURE 1
SYSTEM CONFIGURATIONS The Bose 502B and 502BP Acoustimass enclosures provide a flexible, buildingblock approach to adding low-frequency reinforcement in a variety of sound systems. These systems can meet sound reinforcement requirements for many applications. Detailed installation and system design guidelines for the 502B enclosure are provided in the Bose Panaray professional sound system owners guide. For 502BP installation and system design guidelines, refer to the 502BP portable Acoustimass enclosure owners guide. Figure 1 Shows several possible system configurations including use of the 502B/502BP with either 802-II, 402, or 502A loudspeakers.
