I have known Boris Saratovsky ever since he was the contractor for a small (but well detailed) job combining apartments I did on Bank Street in Greenwich Village twelve years ago. Since then we have completed close to a dozen projects together: from new buildings in landmarked districts, to complicated alterations/extensions/roof additions, down to smaller house and apartment renovations. He is probably the best contractor I have worked with in my 24 years of experience. Boris is conscientious, patient, attentive to detail, and honest. He is, in short, a good builder. He is also an experienced structural engineer. And although he may not have a license to practice in America, hes always willing to bring that technical expertise to the job, and to help the job get done well, safely, and structurally sound.
