This simple kit upgrades Bowens Gemini monolights to become compatible with the Pulsar radio trigger system. Simply plug in the card and antenna and start shooting! For use with:

compatible monolights

Ensure that your Bowens Gemini monolight is switched off. Remove the trigger card slot cover on the back of a compatible Bowens Gemini monolight, firmly insert the Radio Trigger Card into the slot then replace the cover. Remove the protective cap on the side of the monolight and plug the Radio Antenna into the antenna socket.

Switch on your Pulsar radio transmitter unit and set it to the channel you require. Switch on the Bowens Gemini monolight. The monolight will be in learn mode for 10 seconds. During this time press the TEST button at least five times on your Pulsar transmitter. The monolight will learn the settings of your transmitter and will set itself to the same channel.

Learn mode operation.

Follow the instructions on the back of this card. These settings are stored within the card and retained until changed. The card settings can only be changed during the first 10 seconds after turning on the monolight. This is the Learn Mode. If no change is required then wait at least 10 seconds before operating a radio trigger transmitter. If the settings require changing then repeat the sequence on the reverse of this card. After 10 seconds the module will be set to the new value. Depending on the current card setting one of the following will occur: 1. If the received channel & studio are the same as that currently saved in the card then it will toggle between enabled and disabled. 2. If the received channel or studio is different from that currently saved in the card then the new channel will be saved and the trigger enabled. 3. If no valid signal or less than 4 valid signals are received within the learn mode then the current channel, studio and trigger state setting of the card will be retained.

Switch off the Bowens Gemini unit and disconnect any mains or battery cables before fitting the card Only fit the trigger card to a Bowens Gemini unit. Use a Bowens authorised service centre should any servicing or repair be required.

Use the trigger card in an environment where it is likely to come into contact with moisture or flammable vapour. Use a unit with a damaged case. If the unit is damaged in any way always have it checked before using. Open the casing or modify the operation.
