Very good for beggining Architects Not enough tools for standard architect jobs. Easy to use, accurate and fun. Slower rendering times for high quality images. Could be used for getting an idea of a room Basic precision tools missing

Specific Hardware Issues
a) Systems 2MB or less of Video RAM may have trouble displaying the Applied Materials view. If you are unable to view your Applied Materials view, try any of the following: -Choose the "Ramp" setting in the Applied Materials view Set Up dialog. (3D/Set Up Applied Materials View) -Change the color setting and/or resolution in the Display Properties dialog of your computer. (Settings/Control Panel/Display/settings) -Make sure that the graphics acceleration slider bar (found under Display Properties/Settings/Advanced Properties/Performance) is set to None. -Make sure that the Direct3D hardware acceleration is disabled (located in Control Panel/Add/Remove Programs/DirectX Drivers/Add/Remove button/DirectX Setup dialog box. b) Cyrix CPU Chipset If your computer contains a Cyrix chipset, the software may detect that the system is below the applications minimum hardware requirements. When this message appears click OK to continue installing the application. Once installed the application runs correctly. ***************************************************************** ***************************************************************** 3. Troubleshooting

a) The Applied Materials View is not exactly the same scene as the camera window it is made from. The Applied Materials view is dependent on a Camera view but does not react to the changes of the camera made in the Camera view. It does respond to changing the camera height in the Plan view and to the navigation options of the Camera view. It will not maintain the Camera view's clipping, zooming, or scrolling. b) Materials list for a remodel is incomplete. If the remodel is a building addition, and the floor, ceiling, and roof information is needed, do the following: Use File/Save As to create a copy of the plan under a different name. Then delete the pre-existing structure, leaving only the building addition. Then generate the Materials list for the entire plan by using the Build All Floors option. Page 2
readme c) How do I record a 3D Walkthrough? To create a walkthrough, start off in a Camera window. Choose Record Walkthrough from the 3D menu. After you supply the walkthrough with a name, navigate around your plan as desired. When you are done touring your plan, choose the Stop Recording option from the 3D menu, this will close the Camera window and stop the walkthrough. To play back your recording choose the Show Walkthrough option on the 3D menu and choose the file you created and named. d) Uninstalling 3D Home Architect Deluxe version 2.1 after installing 3D Home Architect Deluxe version 3.0. After uninstalling 3D Home Architect Deluxe version 2.1 all saved plans may be disassociated from 3D Home Architect Deluxe version 3.0. To reassociate the files to 3.0, follow the steps below: -Navigate to the Windows desktop -Double-click My Computer -In My Computer choose Folder Options from the View menu -Click File Types -Click New Type -Type in the associated extension "PL1" -Click New -The New Action dialog box should appear -Type the word "open" in the Action area -Click Browse -The Open With dialog box should appear -Navigate to the 3dhomev.exe file, and click Open -The New Action dialog box reappears, linked to 3dhomev3.exe -Click OK, then click Close two times. e) Saving a plan to a floppy diskette. If you are saving your plan to a floppy diskette we recommend that you leave the diskette in the drive for the entire time that you are using the file. Pulling out the diskette and continuing to work with the plan is likely to result in unusual behavior. f) Internet For best results we recommended that you first login to your Internet Service provider before using the 3D Home Architect Deluxe Internet menu. g) The following is a list of all of the Metric Sample Plans Ahp7050m Ax9860m B806m B89033m B91012m B93012m C8160m Dd1695m E1410m H13811m H8337m H9211m J86167m K276m Page 3

Before importing 3D Home Architect Deluxe 3.0 plans into 3D Home Interiors Deluxe 2.0, you will need to copy a new file into your 3D Home Interiors Deluxe 2.0 folder. -Go to C:\3DHAD3\3dhi_2 and copy HAParse.dll from there into C:\Program files\3d Home Interiors 2.0 When asked if you want to replace the existing HAParse.dll, choose 'Yes'. If you have installed to your own user-specified folders, then adjust the root folder names accordingly. ***************************************************************** ***************************************************************** 5.
