It seems to work pretty well. When I test it under Linux using the smartctl program. So far it works fine, however I noticed that it is not as quiet as the other disk I had before

I cloned a 250 GB drive to this one using Seagate Discwizard. Worked perfectly. No problems Quiet, fast, reasonably priced. This thing is a piece of work. I had this for only a little over a year.

I am going to contact WD for a replacement. Relatively fast seek times when working Made noises from the beginning. Bad buy period. Fast Drive, cheap Bought 2, both failed within 60 days

Somewhat Satisfied After two years, this drive finally went South on me. I wish hard drives were not so short lived. I guess two years is not so bad. Garbage item Only used about one month and it was broken. I had to back up data, reinstall OS and exchange the item with WD.

YARDAGE PRO INTRODUCTION

Your YA RD AGE PRO 0 is a prec i s ion instrument designed to provide many years of enjoyment. This boo k l e t will help you achieve optimum performance by explaining its adjustments and features as well as how to care for this fine instrument. To ensure optimal performance and lo n g e v i t y, please read these instructions before using your YA RD AGE PRO 0.

MERKMALE

The YA RD AGE PRO 0 emits invisible, eyesafe, infrared energy pulses. Sophisticated circuitry and a high speed c lock are used to instantaneously calculate distances, by measuring the time it takes for each pulse to travel from the rangefinder, to the target, and back. The ranging ac c u r acy of the YA RD AGE PRO 1000 is plus or minus one yard / meter under most circumstances (see description of Pr ec i s ion indicator below). The maximum range of the instrument depends on the reflec t i v i ty of the target. The maximum distance for mos t o b j ects is 1000 yards / meters while for highly reflective objects the maximum is 1999 yards / meters. Note: You will get both longer and shorter maximum distances depending on the reflective properties of the particular target and the environmental conditions at the time the object is being distanced to. The color, surface finish, size and shape of the target all effect reflec t i v i ty and range. The brighter the color, the longer the range. Red is highly reflective, for example, and allows longer ranges than the color black, which is the least reflective color. A shiny finish provides mo r e range than a dull one. A small target is more difficult to range than a larger target. The angle to the target also has an effect. Shooting to a target at a 90 degree angle (where the target surface is perpendicular to the flight path of the emitted energy pulses) provides good range while a steep angle on the other hand, provides limited ranging. In addition, lighting conditions (e.g. the amount of sunlight) will affect the ranging capabilities of the unit. The less light (e.g. overcast skies) the farther the units maximum range will be. Conversely, very sunny days will dec r e a s e the units maximum range. While looking through the mo nocular, depress the fire button (see Figure 1) (top right hand side of unit) once to activate the inview display system (LCD). Aim the YA RD AGE PRO 1000 at a target at least 21 yards away, depress and h o l d the fire button down until range reading is displayed. Release the fire button. Note: Once activated, the YARDAGE PRO 1000s LCD will remain active and display the last distance measurement for 30 seconds. You can depress the fire button again at any time to distance to a new target. As with any laser device, it is not recommended to directly view the emissions for long periods of time with magnified lenses. The YA RD AGE PROs sophisticated circuitry allows you to select between various units of measure and targeting modes. In a d d i t ion, your YA RD AGE PROs LCD incorporates illuminated indicators that advise you when the laser is active, what the q u a l i ty level (a measure of reflec t i v i ty) of the target is, what the prec i s ion tolerances of a specific measurement are and when the battery ch a r g e is low (see Figure 2). A summary of these features is presented belo w :

S TA N D A R D ( LCD Indicator - none) This setting allows most targets to be distanced up to 1000 yards. Used for moderately reflective targets that are typical of most distancing situations. Note: If the user encounters difficulty ranging to targets in the standard mode, the other modes listed below can be used. The minimum distance in the standard mode is 21 yards. S C A N ( LCD Indicator - SCAN) This mode allows the range to be continuously updated for 10 seconds when the fire button remains depressed. It can be used to scan an area containing several objects or a single object that is moving. Note: Objects further away require a slower scanning pace than objects at a closer distance. The minimum distance in this mode is the same as in the standard mode. R E F L E C T I V E ( LCD Indicator - REF L) Used when targeting highly reflective targets (e.g. reflectors, stop signs, etc.). Increases effec t i v e distance of the device on reflective targets up to 1999 yards or meters. Note: In this mode, the units sensitivity to non-cooperative targets is decreased thereby reducing the maximum ranging distance for these type of objects. Do not use this mode for normal range. R A I N ( LCD Indicator - RA IN) Pr ec i p i t a t ion, such as rain drops or snow flakes, can reflect energy pulses emitted by the YA RD AGE PRO 1000 thereby contaminating the primary targets distance measurement. By selecting the rain mode, feedback from energy pulses reflecting off p r ec i p i t a t ion will be ignored and an uncontaminated measurement obtained. Note: In this mode, the system will not measure to targets less than 65 - 95 yards / meters. Z I P T H R U ( LCD Indicator - ZIP) This mode can be used to ignore energy pulses reflecting off objects less than 115 - 165 yards / meters away. It would typically be used when distancing through brush to an object further than 115 - 165 yards / meters away. Note: In this mode, the system will not measure to targets less than 115 - 165 yards / meters. This mode will also help with distance to target at the outer range. To select between these modes, while looking through the mo nocular, depress and release the mode button (top left hand side of the unit). E ach successive depression of the mode button will activate a different mode designation in the following order; 1) standard (no indicator), 2) Scan (SCAN), 3) reflective (REF L), 4) rain (RA IN), 5) ZIP THRU (ZIP) and then back to standard (no indicator). Note: The YARDAGE PRO 800 will return to the last setting used each time the unit is turned-on.

Illuminating Indicators

A C T I V E L A S E R ( LCD Indicator - LASER) Located in the upper left port ion of LCD. When illuminated, indicates that energy pulses are being emitted from unit. T A R G E T Q U A L I T Y G A U G E ( LCD Indicator - TA RGET QU A L I TY) Located in the upper middle port ion of LCD. Gauge indicating amount of energy pulses being received back from the target. Gauge is calibrated to fill squares from left to right. The higher the number of returning energy pulses, the greater the number of squares that will fill with illumination. This gauge can be used to scan ac r oss a target that is difficult to acquire to find the most reflective point for ranging (see Trouble Shooting Ta b l e ). P R E C I S I O N P A R A M E T E R I N D I C A T O R ( LCD Indicator - PRE CISION) When illuminated, indicates the distance measurement is within plus or minus 1 yard or meter. If it is not illuminated after obtaining a measurement, the distance measurement is within plus or minus 3 yards or meters. L O W B A T T E R Y C H A R G E ( LCD Indicator - BATT) When illuminated, indicates the battery charge is low and battery should be replac e d.

CLEANING

Gently blow away any dust or debris on the lenses (or use a soft lens brush). To remove dirt or fingerprints, clean with a soft cotton cloth, rubbing in a circular mo t ion. Use of a coarse cloth or unnec e s s a ry rubbing may scratch the lens surface and eventually cause permanent damage. For a more thorough cleaning, pho t ographic lens tissue and pho t og r a p h i c - type lens cleaning fluid or isopropyl a l c o hol may be used. Always apply the fluid to the cleaning cloth - never directly on the lens. If the YA RD AGE PRO 1000 should require repair, send it to:

TERMINOLOGY
A laser rangefinder is a distance-measuring instrument which uses laser technology to calculate the distance to targeted objects. Accuracy is +/- one yard, and the distance is displayed instantaneously on a built-in, through-the-lens Liquid Crystal Display.

Targeting Modes

Scan The Scan mode allows you to pan across the landscape while viewing a continuously updated LCD display of the distances between you and the targets you scan with the viewfinder. Rain This feature compensates for precipitation to guarantee an accurate distance measurement through rain or snow. Zip Zip allows you to accurately measure longer ranges (beyond 150 yards) when looking through foreground clutter like brush or branches.
Laser Rangefinder Features:
Meters/Yards You can quickly choose between these standard measuring units with a simple press of a button. Reticle The distance to objects targeted in these cross hairs will be displayed on the Distance Readout with the press of a button. Battery Indictor Flashes when battery power is low.

Yardage Pro Tour XL

The big gun. Full-featured and accurate to 1000 yards, it comes with a built-in tripod mount and a carrying case which easily clips to your golf bag.

Yardage Pro Tour

The worlds smallest, most advanced laser rangefinder measuring a mere 1.5x4x2.75 in., weighing only 6.8 oz. and accurate 10 to 700 yards. Comes with a carrying case and strap.

Bushnell Yardage Pro rangefinders are fast and easy to use because everything you need to know is displayed on our built-in, through-the-lens LCD (Liquid Crystal Display).
TARGETING MODES RANGING PERFORMANCE
Reflectivity of Target Types
Because rangefinders bounce a laser beam off the target in order to take a measurement, their range is partially determined by the reflectivity of the target. In other words, hard or reflective targets like a rock cliff or semi-truck can be measured at greater distances than soft surface targets like a deer. Ranges for moderately reflective targets, like trees, fall somewhere in the middle. Most experienced hunters will use their rangefinder to frequently estimate ranges to near and distant landmarks before they actually encounter a game animal. By pre-measuring ranges to spots where a trophy is likely to appear, they can concentrate on making an accurate shot when the moment of truth arrives.

How a Laser Rangefinder Works
Bushnells Yardage Pro rangefinders use an invisible, eye-safe Class 1 Laser beam (as classified by the FDA) which is bounced off distant objects with the press of a button. Then, the rangefinders high-speed digital clock measures the time it took for a laser beam to reach a target and return to the unit. Next, using advanced digital electronics, the rangefinder instantly calculates the distance within + / one yard and shows the range in either yards or meters on a through-the-lens LCD Display. The entire process is so fast that less than a second elapses between the time you press the button to generate a laser beam to the time the exact range to your target is displayed.

SPEED GUN

For as long as anyone can remember, humans have been fascinated with speed. Problem was, there was no economical way to accurately measure it (especially if you were on the receiving end of a traffic violation). With the inception of the Bushnell Speedster, those days are over. The applications are endless, from measuring pitching speeds, tennis serves and downhill skiers to cars at the racetrack. The Speedster uses digital technology and DSP (Digital Signal Processing) to provide accurate real-time measurements to +/- 1.0 MPH. It measures the speed of a baseball from 6110 mph at 75 feet and even has a mode for keeping baseball and softball stats. Additionally, the speed of larger objects like race cars can be measured from 6200 mph at 1300 feet. Features large LCD graphics display and two-way button pad.
The advanced technology of our wrist-top and hand-held Digital Navigation Systems (DNS) allows quick, easy access to essential information in one compact package.
