CANAL+ Numrique via DSL and CANALSATDSL available on Freebox for Free ADSL customers
The CANAL+ group, Frances leading pay TV operator, and Free (Iliad Group), the largest French alternative ADSL provider, signed an agreement to include the CANAL+ premium channels, its digital versions and the full range of CANALSATDSL channels in Frees television offering. CANAL+ Numrique via DSL and CANALSATDSL will be available on Freebox beginning November 24. Prospective customers may subscribe to the full CANAL+ Numrique via DSL and CANALSATDSL services on www.free.fr beginning November 4. Any Free ADSL subscriber1 in an unbundled area who has a Freebox (any version) and subscribes to the CANAL+ Numrique via DSL and CANALSATDSL services on www.free.fr will receive the full range of premium content CANAL+ Groups television channels on any TV set connected to a Freebox. This partnership is part of the CANAL+ Groups strategy to expand to all distribution media. CANAL+ Numrique includes the premium CANAL+ channel and also CANAL+ Cinma, CANAL+ Sport, CANAL+ Confort and CANAL+ 16:9 (the CANAL+ Digital subscription price is 15 per month for 1 year until December 31, 2004.) CANALSATDSL is a digital-quality service offering 80 channels and services. Half of the channels, including SPORT+, Cinecinemas, Jimmy, Match TV, Plante, MCM, Canal J and the four Disney channels, are available only on CANALSATDSL starting at 11 per month for 1 year.
