This competent 8-megapixel camera sacrifices the great EVF and the speed of the Dimage A2 but keeps the rest. Versatile flip-and-swivel LCD.

The A200 takes great still photos, day or night. The A200 takes too long to take the picture.

Got this camera new at ebay a few days ago. Have tested it. Decided to send it back. Camera feels a bit cheap, too much plastic. Very nice product and good introduction to SLR. 28-200 zoom, Manual control, Many Features, LCD rotate, RAW.

Versatility Plus!! This is a great camera that will accomodate the learner or the professional! Dimage A200 I love, love, love my little camera. It was smaller than I expected, but when I got used to it I just love the size. Most flexable distances I had one of these cameras (3 years old) and dropped it on vacation this spring and destroyed it.

Excellent output quality, RAW capability, durability, flexibility, 8 MP, 28-200 zoom, image stabilization. Nothing worth mentioning. After ditching a large assortment of full-size Nikon gear -- several bodies, half a dozen lenses, etc.

i got mine for $400 with a 5 year warranty, a...  excellent images, flexible options requires lots of manual adjustments I purchased this camera as my first foray into amateur digital photography.

Lens, resolution. Insane complexity, worthless for action photography, night/flash pictures are usually junk

We will take out the broken motherboard and replace it with a new one.

Step 1 - disassembly Case
Remove the two (3mm) screws on the bottom of the camera.

Step 2

Remove two (3mm) screws on the lens of the camera. One is underneath the rubber cover.

Step 3
Open the battery cover by sliding it in the direction of the arrow. Remove the two (3mm) screws next to the memory card slot.

Step 4

Open the inner battery cover by pressing the grey tab and lifting the black cover. Remove the two (3mm) screws next to the battery slots.

Step 5
Gently pull the case apart.

Step 6

Gently pull on the black tabs on either side of the white ribbon using the plastic prying tool. The ribbon will then easily slide out of the connection.

Do the same with the black tabs on either side of the orange ribbon.

Step 8

Your camera is now separated into two pieces.

Step 9 - LCD Display
The LCD display is located in the back case of the camera. Remove the four (3mm) screws surrounding the LCD display.

Step 10

Lift the LCD display away from the back case using the plastic opening tool. Desolder the displays connection to the back board of the camera.

Step 11 - Motherboard
Once the LCD Display has been removed, you must unsolder the red and black connections holding the motherboard Using the Phillips #00 Screwdriver remove the two screws in the motherboard Using the Plastic Opening Tool, carefully pry the motherboard out of its place. Be careful to pull gently, as to not destroy any of the other internal parts of the camera. Pry from the indicated locations
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

After the case has been removed, we can remove the LCD Display. If the LCD Display has cracked, or stopped working in any other way, replacing it can solve your problem.
