Heat transferred directly to fixing film eliminate warm-up time
Eliminating warm-up time is possible due to the ingenuity of Canons exclusive On-Demand Fixing Technology. Traditionally, laser printers use the roller fixing method, which requires the heating element to heat up the entire roller surface, necessitating a long warm-up time. On-Demand Fixing, on the other hand, uses a thin fixing film heated directly by a ceramic heater. As heat is transferred instantly to the fixing element, printing can be done with no warm-up time at all, saving both time and power.

The LBP3460 is designed to support Canons next generation printing system UFR II (Ultra Fast Rendering Technology) for faster document processing. Coupled with the newly developed Load Balancing Technology, the printer utilizes the processing power of the host PC and intelligently distributed the load according to processing types. This optimally balances the load between the host PC and printer, thus significantly shorten total printing time.
