I jump from one store to another to look for this product... I got it from geeks.com for they offer low price compared to other stores…. I totally recommend this camera for the average consumer. Pictures are awesome.

Great pics, easy set up, with 512 card and spare battery I shoot all day/night. Needless to say new egg delivery was quick. BRAVO !!!

i had my S410 camera for about 10 months, it was in my pocket when the LCD screen broke. cannon would not warranty the camera.

Installing Canon Powershot S410 Memory Card
A simple guide for removing and replacing the memory card.

Step 1 - Installing Canon PowerShot S410 Battery
Turn the camera with the bottom side facing up.
Locate the panel labeled "Batt. Open" Place your finger on the panel and slide it in the direction of the arrow. The slot will swing open revealing the battery pack.

Rotate the camera so that the slot is horizontal.
Pull the orange lever and the battery will spring out slightly.

Step 3
Grasp battery and fully pull out of slot When placing the new battery back in the slot, the arrow on the battery must align with the arrow on the camera.

Step 4 - Memory Card

Position the camera as if you were going to take a picture.
Locate the sliding button labeled "CF OPEN." Place your finger on the button and slide it in the direction of the arrow. The side panel will flip open revealing the compact flash memory card.

Step 5
Turn the camera to the right side.
Locate the gray button at the bottom of the open slot. Place your finger on the button and push it down. The memory card will pop out slightly.

Step 6

Grasp edges of card and pull out of slot. If you insert a new memory card you may be asked to format it after turning on the camera. Make sure that the arrow on the flash card is pointed towards the direction of the slot
Do not force the memory card into the slot. Any signs of resistance may mean the card is improperly oriented.
Once a new memory card has been inserted close the swinging door and you're done.

This guide will show you how to remove and replace the button panel on the top of the camera.

Step 1 - Battery
Turn the camera with the bottom side facing up.
Locate the panel labeled "Batt. Open" Place your finger on the panel and slide it in the direction of the arrow. The slot will swing open revealing the battery pack.

Step 4 - Back Cover

Start by laying the camera flat with the LCD screen facing up.
Remove the 3.8mm screw in the upper right corner.

Step 5

Position the camera with the bottom facing up.
Remove the 4.8mm screw. Remove the two 2.3mm screws.

Step 6
Position the camera so that the rubber "AV Out Digital" tab is facing upward.
Slide this rubber tab out of the way to reveal the bottom screw. Remove the two 3.7mm screws.

Step 7

Turn the camera with the back side facing you.
Grip the edges of the back plate, and carefully slide it off. If there is any resistance in movement, double check there are no screws left in the chassis.

Step 8 - Front Cover
Orientate the camera as in the picture.
Remove the two 2.3mm outer screws. Remove the two 3.8mm screws near the strap bracket. Remove small panel covering mounting bracket. Remove door covering memory card.

Step 9

Rotate the camera so that the bottom side is facing you.
Remove the 3.8mm screw below the mounting bracket.

Step 10
Rotate the camera so that the front is facing you.
Grasp sides of front cover and carefully pull the front panel off of the camera.

Step 11 - Top Buttons

Turn the camera so that the right side is facing you.
Using your fingernail, gently pry up the clip holding the button panel in place along the side of the camera.

Step 12

Turn the camera so that the back side is facing you.
Pry up this small clip with your fingernail. The button panel will dislodge from the top of the camera allowing you to remove and replace it.

Among the PowerShot S410 Digital ELPH camera other key attributes are its peak resolution of 2272 x 1704 pixels, a 3x (36-108mm equivalent) all glass, seven-element, Canon zoom lens with a wide AF range from 2 inches (in macro mode) to infinity. The PowerShot S410 Digital ELPH camera also records movies with sound at 15 frames per second for clips of up to three-minutes each at 320 x 240 or 160 x 120 resolution. The PowerShot S410 Digital ELPH also features simple yet sophisticated shooting features such as Evaluative, Center-weighted or Spot metering for more precise exposure control; shutter speeds ranging from 15 seconds to a fast 1/2000 of a second; a user adjustable exposure compensation feature that allows for and increase or decrease of up to two stops in gradual 1/3 increments, and a Custom White Balance option that is read off of a white or known neutral object. Like the new PowerShot S500 model, the S410 camera utilized Compact Flash type 1 media and features a 10x zoom capability on playback using the camera's 1.5 inch, 118,000 pixel LCD monitor.
