VENTO Series

The Vento tweeter system with its aluminium-manganese dome can reproduce frequencies up to 40,000 Hz. The specially designed transmission front plate helps to broaden the angle of dispersion for better coverage across the listening environment.
Thanks to its aluminium cone and unique, multi-curved wave surround, the Vento midrange speaker produces very low distortion even at very high output levels.

KARAT home theater

A top quality Karat home theater system doesnt necessarily require the largest models. For example, if the magnificent Karat AS 750 SC is used to form the basis of the home theater setup, Karat 709 DC floorstanding loudspeakers positioned front left and right will do the job perfectly. This produces amazing overall sound when combined with the compact Karat 702 (on speaker stands LS 600 or LS 650) for the rear channels. The Karat 705 CM center channel loudspeaker is ideal for lm dialogue, which should always come from the screen. Thanks to its magnetic shielding, it can be placed very close to the TV.

A perfectly matched home theater system can be created by combining any of the GLE series product with an AS series subwoofer. The AS 85 SC active subwoofer is great for smaller rooms. For larger rooms, choose a larger subwoofer such as the AS 125 SC. This incredible level of bass power makes it easy for the GLE 407 oorstanding loudspeakers to handle the front, left and right staging. A formidable system is created when combined with the magnetically shielded GLE 405 CM center channel speaker and the GLE 402 shelf speakers. CD 100 II

The 100 II series models are the real classics of the CD series. They are characterised by their particularly slender aluminium cabinets. All models can be placed directly adjacent to any screen due to their magnetic shielding. The brackets included with the CD 50 II allow for mounting either horizontally or vertically onto a wall. For classic surround sound with ve channels and a subwoofer channel (hence the 5.1 reference), a center loudspeaker, primarily responsible for lm dialogue, can be positioned near the screen. To the left and right of this, stand the front speakers, which provide the musical and atmospheric sound effects. The surround channels, which create a spatial sound eld and exciting special effects, are reproduced by loudspeakers that are generally located just above ear level behind the listeners.

Canton movie systems represent technical and visual top-quality surround sound solutions at a reasonable price. All satellite and center channel loudspeakers are magnetically shielded and can be placed very near television screens without any problems. The center channel models are sufciently large to reproduce important lm dialogue powerfully, with maximum clarity and detail. The adjustable subwoofers in the movie sets feature convenient automatic on and off functions, as well as the famous Canton SC technology which gives signicantly improved bass reproduction.

Classic arrangement 5.1 home theater system
The center loudspeaker is set up in the immediate vicinity of the television. The front speakers are positioned to the left and right hand sides of the screen. The surround loud speakers are mounted behind the listener slightly above where they sit. The active subwoofer can be placed almost anywhere you like in the room. The ideal position is in between the front speakers.
Satellites: there is a fully-edged two-way system inside the minimalist satellite housing. Powerful magnets and a crossover with top quality components sets the standard for the minibox category.
Center loudspeaker: the larger center loudspeaker typical to the Canton range forms the acoustic center of the home theater system and guarantees the best speech comprehensibility possible.

PLUS Series & AS active subwoofers
The exceptionally compact cabinet of the Plus XS.2 is made possible by the coaxial conguration of the tweeter placed in front of the woofer.
Because of the Downring Principle whereby the woofer and bass reex opening radiate discretely downwards towards the oor the ASD 110 SC active subwoofer has the appearance of a piece of furniture.
Powerful. The perfect complement to any hi-fi and home theater system the Plus series of compact loudspeakers are extremely versatile. The series includes specially designed models, such as a home theater center channel, computer use, and even a weather resistant model for outdoor use. The AS series active subwoofers provide the necessary low bass support and are the perfect complement to the Plus cabinets and many other models in the Canton line.

The Plus series loudspeakers are as small as they are versatile. All models are ideally suited to micro or mini systems, as auxiliary loudspeakers in a multi-zone system, or when combined with an AS series subwoofer as satellite speakers for more sophisticated stereo or surround systems. For use outdoors or in humid rooms, the splash proof Plus XL Outdoor is recommended. The active (i.e. equipped with its own ampliers) Plus Media 3 is the perfect accompaniment for PCs, Notebooks or MP3 players.

PLUS theater system

An impressive surround system with Plus series loudspeakers relies on the Canton AS series active subwoofer for deep bass. Depending on the size of the room, the AS 85 or AS 105 will be the perfect choice. The magnetically shielded Plus AV 700.2 takes on the role of center channel speaker. The front, back, left and right channels can each be served by Plus X.2s. These can either be wall mounted using Cantomount brackets or placed on LS 80 stands.

All AS series active subwoofers employ Cantons SC technology. SC technology allows for greater bass levels and linearity through artful equalisation of the system. When choosing between different sized models, from the AS 65 SC to the AS 125 SC, it is important to take the size of the room into account the bigger the room, the larger and more powerful the subwoofer needs to be.

The AS 225 SC and ASD 110 SC subwoofers both work in accordance with the downring principle. The woofer system and bass reex opening are set on the underside of the box so that sound is radiated downwards. This arrangement allows for extraordinary deep bass and makes the subwoofer the ideal complement for music and home theater systems. INCEILING

Music connoisseurs know no limits and space is found in the smallest of ceilings. The InCeiling loudspeakers are the ideal solution when large loudspeakers and long cables get in the way. Once mounted in the ceiling, they remain almost invisible and deliver a life-like sound. A particular highlight of this series is the 650 DT. Thanks to single stereo technology, it offers genuine stereo performance even in the smallest of spaces where there is only enough room for one loudspeaker.

Loudspeaker components

Bi-wiring/biamping The top of the range Canton speakers are equipped with a bi-wiring/biamping connector panel. This connection method allows the upper midtone range and high frequency range to be controlled separately through two amplifiers (biamping) or through separate cables through one amplifier (bi-wiring) as preferred. Tweeter The tweeter is primarily responsible for the clarity and resolution of reproduction. In Canton speakers the tweeter is always dome-shaped and driven by a voice coil. Midrange The midrange driver reproduces the extremely critical frequency spectrum of the human voice. Canton uses rapid impulse and warp-resistant aluminum cones to achieve optimum output.

General technology

DVD (Digital Video Disc) A higher capacity storage format for audio and video. The DVD is the dominant media format for playback for video programs. DVD-Audio DVD-Audio is a new music format that uses the high storage capacity of the DVD to play music recordings at the highest quality on six channels. The advantage of the DVD-Audio is primarily in its improved sound quality. There are also functions such as playing music videos and song texts or interpreters notes that a CD cannot offer. The CD-A can record up to 400 minutes of sound in CD quality (44.1 kHz/16 bit) and up to 74 minutes of top quality 6-channel surround sound at 96 kHz/24 bit. In 2-channel mode the DVD-A increases the limit of scanning rate to 192 kHz. This gives a tremendous dynamic range of 144 dB as opposed to the CDs 98 dB.
