The new recording from Tokyo's 9dw is a true audio diamond.The tune are slick, subtle, tasteful, organic, modern & funky. This is my kind of music.What I love is the obvious attention to detail: the sounds, textures, arrangements, strong melodies, and carefully crafted layers of interest.To me 9dw sounds like a bit of Steely Dan mixed with the mid70's era CTI Records catalog (imagine Bob James with fat synths, shorter songs, and modern beats) and a general love of music.
