A Digital Signal Processor and The Great Equalizer
Much like politics, the real manipulation of power happens behind the scenes. Crossovers, equalizers, signal processors, it still sounds like politics, but this year Clarion created a whole new game thats both simpler and more effective. Weve put the best of everything into one equalizer (EQS750) and one digital signal processor (DPH7500z) and weve developed one brand new way to hook it all up CeNet. The EQS750 equalizer is both a 7 band graphic EQ and a pre-amplifier with an RCA input and subwoofer level control. The DPH7500z has both a 7 band graphic and 3 band parametric EQ, 12 sound fields and a high/low pass crossover with subwoofer output. With CeNet, weve improved the whole process of reproducing music. Plug-nplay is more than a promise because now, multiple CD or MD changers can be daisy-chained and only a single cable is needed to connect source units with the TV tuner and EQ/DSP module. And by going fiber optic with inputs to the DSP, signal-to-noise ratios are significantly improved. That deserves your vote for Best New Product of the Year.
The DPH7500z circuitry includes a new DSP chip set, 1-bit D/A converters, and a 4 volt line-level output.

The new EQS750 is not only a 7 band graphic EQ with a builtin high pass/low pass/subwoofer electronic crossover , but its also a preamplifier with a selectable auxiliary audio input. The EQS750 also has 6 volt/ 6 channel line-level outputs.

The DPH7500z has 4 digital fiber optic inputs for multiple changer/source unit inputs, as well as a fiber optic output. By going to fiber optic inputs, you get signal to noise ratios of over 105dB. New for this year is Clarions CeNet. This advanced bus system allows for daisy-chaining multiple CD or MD changers, and needs only a single cable to connect source units to the TV Tuner and EQ/DSP module using a loop-through connection. This makes upgrading your system as easy as "plug and play".
