This simplified universal remote control contains all the main functions of most TV remote controls of the brands listed on the back. Insert the batteries and program your remote control before using it. Keep your Instructions Booklet for future reference.
USING THE KEYS AND FUNCTIONS
To select the next programme or to turn ON your TV. Control the volume using +/-. ON/OFF per spegnere il TV e in alcuni casi per accendere il TV.
Light indicator. Press them together to turn ON your TV on programme 1.
To select the previous programme or to turn ON your TV.
Mute key. To select an external terminal.

FITTING THE BATTERIES

The remote control requires 2 new AAA/LR03 alkaline batteries. Insert the batteries as shown:
Batteries must be changed once a year. Change the batteries if the light indicator starts to flash during use. The batteries are low. When removing batteries, insert the new ones within 5 minutes or you may have to reprogram your remote control. Make a note of the code for your TV on the adhesive label supplied inside the battery compartment cover. This note will be handy if you have to reprogram your remote control. 5

SET-UP

Read these instructions carefully before programming your remote control! To use the remote control with your appliances, you must first program Easytel as described below. You can also visit our Internet site www.cme.it to have access to interactive instructions for easier and faster remote control programming.
PROGRAMMING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL
1. Make sure that the TV is ON. 2.Hold down the AV and keys simultaneously until the light indicator at the top starts to flash indicating that the remote control is in programming mode. 3. Press key P four times then point the remote control at the appliance. Press and release the key slowly several times. STOP when your TV goes OFF. 4.When your TV is OFF, press the AV and keys simultaneously. When you release the keys, three flashes indicate that the search operation has been completed correctly. 5.IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PROGRAMME SELECTION KEYS ON YOUR ORIGINAL REMOTE CONTROL If your remote control does not have the programme + selection keys (e.g. P / P , +/-, CH+/-.etc) once you have programmed Easytel, you can still select the programmes from 0 to 9, as follows: Hold down the AV and keys simultaneously until the light indicator starts to flash indicating that the remote control is in programming mode. Release the keys and + press P 8 times within 12 seconds. Three flashes indicate that the operation has been completed correctly. Make sure you can change programmes from 0 to 9 + using the P and P keys. If not, repeat the search operation, starting from point 2.
Additional check Check that all 7 keys are operating correctly. If the commands work incorrectly or erratically, you have probably entered a code for a similar but different remote control. In this case, repeat the search procedure from point 2 until all keys respond correctly to the commands sent.
Identify and take note of the TV code which you have searched for, following the code noting procedure (see "PROGRAMMED CODE NOTING" section).
NOTE: DURING THE SEARCH OPERATION, THE LIGHT INDICATOR FLASHES MORE QUICKLY. THE LIGHT INDICATOR STOPS FLASHING AND YOUR REMOTE CONTROL LEAVES PROGRAMMING MODE IN THE FOLLOWING CASES: if no keys are pressed for 12 seconds if you press keys other than those indicated if the code search list is completed. In this case, visit www.cme.it or contact the call center.

PROGRAMMED CODE NOTING

When you have programmed Easytel CME, note down the code on the label in the battery compartment cover. To find the code for your remote control: keys simultaneously until the light 1. Hold down the AV and indicator at the top starts to flash indicating that the remote control is searching for the code. + 2. Release the keys and, within 12 seconds, press P and

simultaneously.

3. Release P and P and pay attention to the flashing of the LED: a long flash corresponds to a + while a short flash corresponds to a -. Note the sequence of the 8 flashes and note them down on the label in the battery compartment cover, from left to right.
RE-PROGRAMMING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL BY ENTERING THE CODE NOTED DOWN
If the remote control is no longer programmed because it has been left without batteries for a long time or has flat batteries, you can re-program it quickly as follows: 1. Hold down the AV and keys simultaneously until the light indicator at the top starts to flash indicating that the remote control is programming. 2. Release the keys and, within 12 seconds, using the + P and P keys, enter the eight-sign code which you noted down before. At the end, three flashes indicate that the code has been saved correctly. If not, try the code entry procedure again from point 1.
USING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL
Once you have programmed Easytel, you can turn ON your TV in three ways: Press P or P. Press. + Press P and P simultaneously: this sends the code for programme 1. To return to programme 1 directly, press simultaneously.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM The TV does not respond and the light indicator does not light up when you press a key. The TV or VCR does not respond but the light indicator does light up. SOLUTION Check that the batteries are fitted correctly. If necessary, replace them with 2 new 1.5 V AAA/LR03 alkaline batteries. Check that the batteries are new and that the remote control is pointing at the appliance without any obstacles in the way. If required, reset the remote control code by repeating the programming procedure. Batteries are low. Replace them.

The TV does not respond and the light indicator flashes. Not all remote control commands are working correcting.
+ The P and P keys do not select the programmes.
You may have used the wrong code. Reset the remote control code, following the programming procedure. The original remote control may not have had this function. In + this case, set the code (press P 8 times) as described in the PROGRAMMING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL section above.
