They are radios, and they just work. Cobra has been a strong name in radios for years. Not entirely sure about the range that is quoted (16 miles).

Charger did not work. I returned charger unit to Radio Shack a week ago and have not heard from them since.

Not bad for a toy, only problem is they will not charge and there is no light or anything to tell if it is charged or charging or working or what???

Glad they were inexpensive..... I received the set and plugged in the rechargable batteries...they never took a charge.... Good Price if they work! I was pleased with the small size and price. But the volume button did not work on one of the units from the start.
