CHARACTERISTICS

The new Comet Labs network disk drive MGB100 is integrating a important number of fonctionnalities including some real advanced features totally unknow of these devices until now. Available in capacities from 20 to 120 Gigabytes, the MGB100 enables you to share and access your document between computers in your office and even during your travels. It is including a 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet port to be connected to your switch or router. The MGB100 is also integrating a Wireless 802.11g/54 Mbps network connection. It can be turned into a wireless client or a full access point. It can also serve as a relay point to expand your wireless network range because it is supporting the WDS technology (Wireless Distribution System). WDS technology is already implemented into other Comet Labs wireless access points and routers. On the back panel, you can find two USB 2.0 ports available for the connection of any USB Mass storage device, memory card reader, USB flash memory, digital camera, MP3 and MP4 players, external HDD, video cameras,.). Using the push-button, you can copy the files contained onto an external USB source to the Internal Hard disk drive. Then you can access to the files via Ethernet or via your wireless network. Connect the MGB100 to the Internet and you can access and manage the files using a simple web browser from anywhere in the world. Up to 4 shared volumes can be generated to organize your documents, pictures audio and video files, MP3 songs. Two access modes are available: Select the guest mode to simplify enable read only or read/write access rights or define the users and passwords to access your volumes. Installing and configuring the MGB100 is very easy, thanks to the wizard utility included in the web manager. You can access it from a standard web browser (I.E preferred). The MGB100 is compatible with the current operating systems including, but not limited to Windows 98SE, Millennium, Windows 2000/XP, Apple MacOS X (Version X.4.2 included) and Linux.
