CHARACTERISTICS
The NRM42 router is helping you to deploy a successful high-speed Internet connection. Using the RE-ADSL (Range-Extended) protocol, you can establish a high-speed Internet connection within a distance up to 8 kilometers from the concentrator (DSLAM). For the closer links, you can access to a faster connection with a downstream rate of 24 Megabits and an upstream of 1 Megabits in ADSL2/2+ mode. The NRM42 is also compatible with existing connections working at regular ADSL speed. Developed and design for the European Internet service providers and with their collaboration, this ADSL2/2+ router is supporting the very large majority of protocols available. It can be installed in many countries. Its built-in firewall is integrating the latest technologies in audio and video communication, in network games session management and in multimedia applications. The filtering function of the NRM42 is insuring protection for your LAN network and is offering intrusion detection and prevention. To simplify the communication for commuters and remote users, the NRM42 is accepting VPN pass-through communications. For an easier insertion into your network, the NRM42 is equipped with 4 LAN 10/100 Mbps ports. The NRM42 can be configured directly using your web browser. Its firmware can be upgraded by a simple download. This modem router is also available within a wireless access point under the model-nr: WRM42.
