| The router was given to my by a friend in a trade for a WRT54G set up as a repeater so the price was right. People have problems with the router on Mac OSX have to configure manually because the disk is not made for OSX (not that hard to do). | |

| Faster than a scalded dog! Menus could be arranged for easier access to settings. Had a Netgear WRN854T - peice of junk! Replaced it with the DIR-655. Easy setup, nice GUI interface, great speed and Gigabit wired ethernet. | |

| Installation was straight-forward and quick. LAN and internet connect started first time and as expected. No problems. After breaking my head for 3 days to set it up, the router has been working like a charm. Good strong signal throughout my home and out on the patio. | |

| The new revision of the DLink DIR-655 has major problems. You can go to their own user forums and read what others are saying. Would not buy another one. Considering another brand the next time. Note, all products are D-Link that is being used, except Tivo and Ipod. | |

Wireless N technology offers more speed, extended coverage and virtually no dead spots while still compatible with previous network standards. This router transfers data at speeds of up to 300 Mbps. Setting the router up is easy even for non-technically minded people, with D-Link Click'n Connect: run directly from the product CD-ROM, this wizard takes you through an interactive step-by-step guide that will get you on-line in a matter of minutes. It also includes a simplified method of setting up wireless encryption, the Wi-Fi Wireless Protect Setup (WPS), which works at the touch of a button. A powerful dual firewall (SPI and NAT) prevents Denial of Service (DoS) attacks and attempts to breach your network from the Internet. You can also define a list of allowed sites to restrict web access during certain periods.
