The DI-724GU Wireless 108 G Office Router integrates highly useful features to make business more productive. This router combines broadband Internet sharing, USB print server, a QoS engine, multiple Gigabit LAN ports, and highspeed wireless access in a rugged new metal chassis to provide centralized printing services, improved VoIP performance and high-speed file transfer ideal for business environments. Features and B enefits: Improved VoIP: The DI-724GU router uses Quality of Service (QoS) technology to improve the quality of VoIP calls. Typical Internet applications such as e-mail and web browsing require minimal bandwidth, but other applications, such as Voice over IP (VoIP) and video streaming, are real-time sensitive and require much higher bandwidth. The DI724GU uses an intelligent engine to automatically detect and prioritize bandwidth-sensitive packets so that they can be sent over the Internet as soon as the request is made. This results in faster processing of real-time based packets, less latency, and a better user experience. Network Printing: A built-in USB 2.0 port can be used for both print server functionality and Windows Connect Now. A USB printer can be connected to the router for sharing among network users. Using the PS Wizard, network administrators can easily set up an attached printer for printing on the network. The USB port can also be used for wireless setup. Administrators can copy the setting information to a flash drive and transfer it to the router through the USB port. Windows Connect Now makes wireless configuring as simple as running the Wireless Network Setup Wizard from Windows XP SP2. Built for Speed: Each component of the Gigabit Office Router was designed for maximum performance - from the rugged metal chassis to the internal components. A high-speed CPU powers the robust routing engine for best-of-class networking performance and for handling of heavy network traffic, printer sharing and smooth Voice over IP (VoIP) calls. The integrated wireless interface uses dual antennas for exceptional wireless signal range and delivers a maximum wireless signal rate of up to 108Mbps when used with other D-Link devices that support the Turbo speed. * The Gigabit LAN ports enable fast data transfers for clients within the network. Network Security. The DI-724GU router features Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) and Network Address Translation (NAT) double firewall functionality with Denial of Service (DoS) attack protection to safeguard the network. These security features can be enabled without reducing the network performance. In addition, an improved access control system and parental control block inappropriate content and keep employees focused on business.
