1) Presentation
2 wireless control channels
Control is applied through PLC (power line carrier) receivers : TC 51098 for the "on/off" channel (DHW, lighting, etc.).

2) Principle

DELTA DORE is a long-standing specialist in digital transmission on fixed wire media (bus, power line carriers, telephone line) or on immaterial media (infra-red, radio). DELTA DORE offers complete and upgradeable products based on the X2D protocol. The range of X2D PLC appliances complies with the European power line carrier standard NF EN50065-1 (125 KHz to 140 KHz band) authorizing the coexistence of several PLC systems on the same installation, if and only if all the products installed comply with this standard and frequency band. The appliances connected must not generate disturbances (EEC directives 89/336). The principle of "PLC" transmissions is to stack an encoded signal with a higher frequency and weaker amplitude on the signal present between the live and neutral wires (230 V, 50 Hz). Advantages: - No damage to the existing installation - Upgradability of the system - Diversity of receivers - No filter necessary in electric installation. In three-phase installations, you must use a phase coupler to transmit on the 3 phases simultaneously (ref. 6051046).

TYPHONE 2 CPL works with all types of voice frequency telephone sets ("smooth" musical tone when a button is pressed). It can be used directly on a 230V socket (no wiring). A cable with a double connection French telephone socket enables it to be placed between the telephone socket and the set.

Protected access

A 4-figure code, configured at the factory or modified by the user protects the access.

3) Installation

TYPHONE 2 CPL must be connected to a 230V socket with an earth terminal (A). The telephone line connection is made via the RJ11 cable (B) / double connection French telephone socket (C). The RJ11 plug (B) connects to the side of the unit (D). Socket (C) is inserted between the telephone set and its socket. The push button (F) overrides the "on/off" channel.

4) Starting up If only the TYPHONE 2 CPL is used to control the installation.
To link the heating channel :
Press and hold the button until the green LED flashes. Release. If the green LED flashes on the receiver : Press and release the button on the receiver. The green LED comes on steady. The receiver is now linked with channel 1 of the TYPHONE 2 CPL. If the green LED remains steady on the receiver : Press on the receiver until the green LED flashes (~ 10 sec.). Release. Then press and release again. The LED comes on steady and the receiver is now linked to the TYPHONE 2 CPL. On TYPHONE 2 CPL, press and release the button to exit the association mode.

Connection

Heating : Comfort / Frost Protection Control system : On/off
If the green LED remains steady on the receiver : Press on the receiver until the green LED flashes (~ 10 sec.). Release. Then press and release again. The LED comes on steady and the receiver is now linked to the TYPHONE 2 CPL.
On TYPHONE 2 CPL, press and release the button to exit the association mode.

If TYPHONE 2 CPL is linked to a PLC type transmitter appliance (Driver CPL, etc.)
Set the transmitter unit to "start up" mode (see the unit's guide). On TYPHONE 2 CPL, if both LEDs are flashing: Press and release the button. The green LED comes on steady. If the green LED remains steady on the TYPHONE 2 CPL: Press and hold the button for approximately 10 seconds until both LEDs flash. Then press and release the button. The green LED comes on steady. Start up the receiver controlled by the transmitter unit (see the guide). Start up the control system receivers controlled by Typhone 2 CPL (see only TYPHONE 2 CPL is used to control the installation.)

Mains network

If the power controlled is too great, the relevant output must be relayed by a contact switch adapted to the requirements in the following situations: If the installation exceeds 36 kW or 180m, please consult us. For a three-phase installation, provide a phase coupler.

Important : Socket (E) is a direct extension of socket (A). It is not controlled by the TYPHONE 2 CPL. So you can use it as a normal plug.
Press and hold the button for approximately 3 seconds until the red LED flashes. The green LED turns off. Release. If the green LED flashes on the receiver : Press and release the button X on the receiver. The green LED comes on steady. The receiver is now linked with channel 1 of the TYPHONE 2 CPL.

5) Calling the TYPHONE 2 CPL

Method 1 :

Dial the phone number of the installation from another telephone line (mobile or fixed). "Tuu" TYPHONE 2 CPL takes the line after X rings (can be set from 5 to 35 rings, see page 10).

6) Main menu

Important : - wait for the silences before pressing a button. - press to return to the previous menu. - press to hang up the TYPHONE 2 CPL After calling the TYPHONE 2 CPL, enter the access code (4 figures). When first starting up, the access code is 1234 (code can be changed). Heating channel : g
7) Selecting the number of rings before line pick-up
The time before the line is picked up can be set from 5 to 35 rings. Call the TYPHONE 2 CPL (see page 7). Enter the access code. When the main menu is enumerated, enter "#81".

Method 2 : Rapid line pick-up. To be used in the following situations : - when you call from mobile phone, - when the TYPHONE 2 CPL is linked to a telephone answering machine, - if you are subscribed to France Telecom's Top Messages service (answering machine service).
From a remote line, dial the installation number "Tuu" Wait for 2 rings Hang up and wait for 10 sec. Dial the number again The TYPHONE 2 CPL connects after 1 or 2 rings

If the access code is incorrect, you will be notified and allowed to attempt 3 times before the line is cut.
The TYPHONE 2 CPL emits 2 beeps.
Enter the 2 figures of the number of rings required (e.g. 05). The synthesized voice confirms the number entered.

Resetting the TYPHONE 2 CPL
To reset the Typhone 2 CPL, press and hold the push button for approximately 30 seconds. After 3 seconds, the red LED flashes -> keep pressing. After 6 seconds, the green LED flashes -> keep pressing. After around 30 seconds, the green LED remains steady, showing that the unit is deconfigured. Release.
