2 Mounting

In order to mount the device on the wall, it must be separated from its base. To do this, unscrew the lockingscrew, open the case and disconnect the flat (connection) strap as indicated. After separation from the case, the base must be fixed to the wall using screws and plugs or on a flush-mounting box (centre-to-centre distance 60 mm) using the holes. Breakable partitions can be removed to allow the connection cable to pass, if necessary ( : flush-mounting box, : wall mounting)

3 CONNECTION

Please note: Full wiring circuits are not shown in the diagram for reasons of clarity. Safety devices and other mandatory accessories are not shown. - The device must be fitted in compliance with UTE C15-100 and state-ofthe-art specifications. - Appliances connected to or in the vicinity of the device must comply with EC directive 89/336 on electrical interference.
Before any operation switch off the power supply. In order to be connected, the product must be separated from its base.
Flush-mounting box : use the hole in the bottom of the case to connect the wires.
Wall-mounting : breakable partition can be removed to allow the connection cables to pass.
The connection to the telephone line can be made by the RJ11 plug / telephone plug cable. The RJ11 plug has to be connected on the side on the product. IMPORTANT : when reassembling do not forget to connect the flat (connection) strap between the front case and its base.

On/Off Control

Certain appliances may require an additional relay contactor to be fitted (check amperage required). Please note that terminal 1 of the integrated lightning arrester (see technical specification) has to be earthed at the installation, and terminal 2 has to be connected with the yellow/green earth-wire coming from the front case of the appliance (see picture).

Selecting a language

The product is delivered in french version. To choose another version, it is necessary to separate the product from its base (see 3) and turn it over to see the jumpers as shown on the picture. Remove the jumper(s) according to your choice.

Using the access code ?

Access to the device may be secured via a code. This code is printed on the side of the TYPHONE 2 SV. Press briefly to enable the code function.
LED on = code enabled LED off = code disabled
Reverse the NO/NC contact of the output n2
In order to reverse the NO/NC contact, press the LED flashing = contact open, LED off = contact closed, key (about 5 sec.).

- When the wrong Select control code is entered, a 1 or 2 or hang up ! Wrong code message is heard. The device hangs up after three unsuccessful attempts at entering the code.

7 TYPHONE 2SV AND ANSWERING MACHINE

ON SHARED LINE

To give priority to TYPHONE 2 SV over the answering machine : Dial your telephone number, let it ring once, then hang up and wait at least 10 sec. Dial again within a minute. TYPHONE 2 SV will automatically connect before the answering machine (phone rings once)
8 USING THE MANUAL CONTROLS
You can activate controls manually by using the 2 keys on the TYPHONE 2SV. Press keys 1 or 2 briefly to turn control 1 or 2 on or off (LED on or off).
9 OVERRIDING TYPHONE 2 SV
If TYPHONE 2 SV has connected before you can answer a call, press and take the incoming call. then to override
